My sister told me there is a Bump Facebook group for all Agust 2014 due dates, but I can't seem to locate it. Does anyone know of the exact title to type into the search bar? She said that finding your birth group on FB is really fun and helpful! Thank you!!! : )

It's a secret group by invitation only and you have to have a post minimum on TB to be invited in.  When it comes to all of us sharing our real identities, we're very protective of it and each other.  You might want to start by posting an Intro here and becoming involved.  Maybe, if your sister is liking the group she can vouch for you over there (FYI she hasn't yet.... we're all sitting around wondering who the heck you are....)

Be a part of the group here, and you can then ask to be a part of the group there. Most of us have been together for 8+ months and have formed bonds, and supported each other through some really hard times. When we decided on the FB group, we wanted to make sure random lurker a weren't trying to get in to it to steal our personal info. I'm not saying that's you, but if you really want to be a part of the group, hang out here, give support, talk about food, and then I'm sure we'd be more than willing to have you in our close knit FB group.

I also made the same mistake of asking a question on here!! Be ready for all kinds of snark remarks and attempts to make you feel as if you tried to ask them all there social security numbers to steal there identities. Apparently these ladies don't welcome newbies ESP if you make a post here without introducing yourself first. I would highly suggest just "lurking here" and finding another way of asking your own personal questions to keep from being attacked by these ladies!!

It's not that difficult.
It's just nice for people to participate on the board before asking about FB groups. Intro, stick around a bit and participate in discussions. You wouldn't walk up to a group of strangers and ask them to let you into their group. This is no different.

We love our newbies... when they're willing to introduce themselves, read the forum rules, etc...  You can find dozens of intro posts where everyone has said Welcome!  Do you like pie?!?"

It's not hard.

But at the point where we're all due in a month or less, you're gonna get side-eyed for just suddenly and very randomly showing up with no regard for the friendships we've spent 8 months developing.

I honestly think you are mistaking our honest feelings about this as being mean. We are not being mean. We don't mind have "newbs" come in but we want to get to know you, especially if we are going to be sharing our personal info with you. Think of it this way. Would you randomly "friend" someone you had no clue about on FB just because you searched a name? We aren't saying there is no way you can be a part of it, but what we've all said is hang out here, contribute, get to know us, and then be in the FB group wouldn't be such a big deal.

I just thought there was an open group. And my sister did tell me to ask here, as that is what she did. I am of course happy to join here, but feel from a lot of comments that I am too late. I am a nice person and meant nothing harmful at all. In terms of sharing who I am, what is appropriate?

I would like for you to think of the FB group like Sasquatch. You hear about it, but you may never see it in your lifetime.

But seriously, just get involved on the board. An intro would be helpful.

Sure! I am 35 weeks pregnant today with our first baby girl! My first and part of my second trimester was beyond terrible, as I was consistently sick!! I remember at week 16 in tears with my husband wondering if I would ever get a break. I slowly started to get that break during the mid-end of my second, but weirdly feel my best in the third, comparatively speaking that is. I work as a nutritionist and personal trainer within a holistic clinic, where hilariously 6 of us are prego and all due around the same time!! And no, it was never planned or ever talked about prior to. My close colleague, a naturopathic doctor, is a week in front of me with twins and will be induced within the next week or two!! Although we have had different experiences, it has been pretty awesome having such close support.

You have no idea how much it pains her! She is amazing, but has had a very rough pregnancy. In fact, it is a miracle those babies stayed in.

Since becoming pregnant, one thing that I have noticed is how judgmental moms are on other moms. Of course we all have our personal opinions, which is human, but why do so many women have to be that way during a time that is often so hard and emotional. It breaks my heart!

You can't join the team during the playoffs, and demand a starting position.  You've got to get to know us, we've got to get to know you, and we have to build up a trust.

I just had my daughter, and I'm not going to share the stuff from FB (personal info) with complete strangers who we know nothing about.  I'm not going to give you access to my whole name, my job, and my home (all information you can view on our FB accounts).

 

Stick around, talk to everyone, get to know everyone, and then ask.  It took us 4-5 mo to even form the FB group

Jennicillin, I stated from the the beginning that I just thought there was an "open" group, as there are many others. I meant nothing by it whatsoever.
