Telling people your having twins

I am only 14 weeks and I told only c two close friends and my immediate family that I am carrying twins. I feel bad because I know some of my friends have trouble getting pregnant ( and I am one of them-took us couple of years to get here today) but I am almost feel guilty to tell them so I have been just saying I am pregnant. I want to keep the twins news till maybe I am 5-6 months . Is that weird of me?

Not at all..... I would have kept our twins a secret (16 weeks along here) but the hubby spilled the beans

Not weird at all, but at 5-6 months you might be popping out enough that people might ask you if you're having twins.  I will say that I've been on the wrong side of biology while everyone else around me is easily having babies.  It hurts at first to hear the news, but you get quickly get over it and are just genuinely happy for the people you love.  Pregnancy goes by so fast and twin pregnancy even shorter.  By 5-6 months, it's almost over.  Don't let fear of how other people will react keep you from enjoying it.

We shared our news with family very early but didn't tell anyone else until 2nd tri and then it was close friends. We didn't "come out" in general until I was 27w. It was easy for me not to tell since I was on HBR and confined. No one saw my belly.

I truly appreciate all your feedbacks. I also had a miscarriage prior to this pregnancy so I am being extra cautious for that reason as well. I know my close friends that I told so far are happy for me, and I have been telling by phone so it's less awkward for the ones who are trying to get pregnant. I am not really active on Facebook so I don't plan on announcing there at all. My husband wants to tell his siblings that we are having twins after I start seeing the MFM and they hopefully confirm things are going well.

We just told our close friends it's twins at 21 weeks. Still not completely out with that. If people ask I tell them lol.

I know plenty of people who post ultra sounds and pregnancy pics on social media. After 5 losses I'm very private n my sister in law got insulted I don't post things. I just took the attitude that's this is my family and my body and let me be.

We told everyone we were having twins, but I don't think it's weird if you decide to wait. However, I had a very noticeable bump at 12 weeks and has grown exponentially since then...I look almost full term at 26 weeks and people have no shyness about telling me so.

We had to tell our families what was going on because I was in and out of the hospital constantly (HEG). We ended up having to tell my husband's job what was happening when I had to have a PICC placed and would be staying in the hospital for a while, which was at 12w.

And, you likely won't be able to hide it super long-- I started getting "due any time now!" at 28wks )
