Getting a bit down about people saying look how big u r!

Anyone else feel this way? At work especially colleges keep saying "god your big" and "your going to have a big baby" and "wow your big." one even said you have put alot of weight on havent you (i havent really, im still wearing the same size as before just in maternity clothes). I know they are trying to be nice but makes me feel really fat :-(

Two things. 1. Please type correctly. Text type hurts my eyes. And 2. Don't let it bother you, you're growing a human being. I'm basking in my belly and loving that I don't have to suck in all summer.

I embrace the comments, yes I'm growing a little one, yes my belly may look like I'm having twins, atleast my ass doesn't.

I'm quite the opposite... I get a little irritated when people say "you're not very big, when are you going to pop?" I'm thinking, "my belly isn't normally any where near this big thank you very much!"

It used to bother me, and now I'm over it. People just feel the need to say something, ANYTHING, to a pregnant woman. No matter what they say and how nice their intentions are, something can be taken offensively. If anything, I say "thanks" and then roll my eyes behind their back. I hear the unneeded comments and advice go away once the baby is born, so you've got that.

It never really bothered me, but I'm lucky in that most people don't comment on how I look. My closer friends, fiance, family, etc., are very clear in saying my "tummy" looks bigger, or whatever, not the rest of me.

NO ONE would dare comment on my weight before my pregnancy, so I've had no comments on that which have been negative.

I've had a couple of comments, mostly from family. I just tell them they are being rude. If they are going to be rude to my face, then I'm going to let them know they are being so. I agree with pp, you are growing a baby and have good reason to put on weight and grow a belly. Don't listen to what other people say.

Also, OP, I know it was mentioned above but please correct mistakes and any text type before you post. You've been given this feedback multiple times and you have shown that you can type correctly if you take your time. I know you have a condition that makes it difficult but it can make it really hard to want to respond when it's hard to read your posts.

I had a random coworker that I NEVER talk to ask me when I was due. When I said October she told me her DIL was due at the end of August and I look sooo much bigger than her! I said I guess I'm all belly and walked away. I was so pissed. Usually I let shit like that roll off my back but I had just worked a 12 hour night shift and was about to snap. It seriously took all my effort not to be a bitch. If it was a coworker that I was close with I probably would have told them to STFU! Idk why but it bothered me for days! Oh hormones!

I get more annoyed that the same people keep asking me when I'm due. Especially when they asked me yesterday or the day before. Or if they are someone I don't normally converse with at work, they'll try to force a convo over my pregnancy.

Don't listen to them.  Who cares how big you get, you're growing a baby!  Plus I doubt you're as big as they're saying.

Also, yea the text speak...been wanting to say that for awhile but haven't had the balls. Since you post a lot I know you're a perfectly lovely intelligent woman, but the text speak always makes me think less of people. :-(

A co-worker this morning asked me if I was having twins. They are just being silly and don't realize how hurtful that can sound to an already stressed out about everything pregnant woman.

I say this any time this topic comes up, looking at HDBD shows me that woman due the same time as me are all different shapes and sizes. As long as your doctor is not concerned just try and move past the comments. Most people are just making "polite" conversation.
