This is a weekly check-in for those who have lost an angel with a November EDD. If you would like to be added to our group, please reply to this message with your EDD and date and stage of loss. Please also tell us a little bit about yourself and your TTCAL journey so far. Those with loss dates in November are also welcome. As time goes on, it is only to be expected that there will be graduates, which means that there will at times be BFPs listed here. On weeks when we do have a BFP to celebrate, you’ll see a warning at the top of the page, which is provided so you’ll have the option of scrolling past the announcement if you need to. If you do get your BFP, please PM me so that we can congratulate you appropriately in the next check-in.

A Special Request: Would anyone be interested in taking over the check-in from me? I’ve been doing this for about 8 months now, and while it's really pretty easy and rewarding to do, right now I think I'm needing to step back a little from the board. I'll still be around, but most likely not as much as I have in the past. Please don't hesitate to reply or PM with questions.

General Updates: How are you doing? Any appointments or other updates you’d like to share?

Shout outs: If you aren't listed, we haven’t heard from you for a week or two. Please jump in!

@LittleMrsW, Did you enjoy your 3-day weekend? How are you doing in the final stretch of the 2WW? FX for you!
@aswedishbee, Are you still hanging with AF? (I hope not.)
@HMR11913, I'm so sorry about CD1. ((HUGS)).
@raelynn71109, I see from your chart that the spotting still continues... ((HUGS)). I'm sorry about the extra bench time. How are you doing?
@sarcaztic10How are you this week? I'm sorry about the extra bench time. ((HUGS)). Keep us posted on your testing results.
@tlc35, looks like you're still gearing up to O. I'm glad to see that your ovaries cooperated and held off while you and YH were apart. FX for good news next week about the job. How are things going for you in the meantime?
@denamaree, How was the trip to Denver? How are things going with this current cycle?
@scrang74, How are you? I'm sure you're in wedding mode now with less than a month left. Tell us about your dress, please! Bonus points for a PIP!
@mara005That's a nice temp shift you have. How's the 2WW treating you? FX for you!
@littlecookie, How are you? Did you end up getting your beta level done after AF?
@sunflwra, How was your holiday weekend? When do you expect your karyotyping results?
@ReadheadRunning, How are you doing? Did you O yet? How was the monitoring appointment on Sunday?
@MrsKush1014, How are things going for you this week?
@nighthawkswife, How are you?

QOTW: What's the most valuable thing you've learned from a family member?

Re: /|\ November angels check-in 7/8 /|\

  • My update: Last week was not good. The IUI on Thursday never happened. My husband had a tooth pulled on Wednesday in preparation for getting an implant, and it was pretty painful, so they prescribed him a narcotic pain reliever. He didn't anticipate this happening, but the meds ended up making his ED more of an issue than it normally would be. After 2 hours of trying, he just couldn't provide a sample.

    I was devastated. All that effort, and expense, and injections ended up pretty much going to waste. I don't really know where we'll go from here, but I'm at the point of acknowledging that our rainbow may just never happen. I feel like I just need to focus on other parts of my life right now.

    QOTW: My mom taught me to have a great work ethic. This is something that has served me really well in life, and I'm very thankful for it.

  • Hi @HeyMrsPotter thanks for the check in! How are you?

    AFM: I may be counting today at CD1, I need to see how it goes before I call it. I have my annual gyno exam on Friday, I am going to talk about my situation and try to make a plan I guess.

    QOTW: I learned what type of husband and marriage I didn't want from my own parents.

  • @HeyMrsPotter sorry your going through so much!! I can completely understand you needing to take some time away and if no one else is interested/able to take on the board I will. If someone else can that would be great as my work is getting crazy busy, and Tues/Thurs will be busiest!

    Denver was an absolute blast! I didn't realize how much we needed to get away until we were there and getting a lot of time to talk, be spontaneous with our sex life, and just laugh together!! In our talking we did decide we will move forward with starting clomid CD5-9 end of July (I'm do for a cycle around Jul 25) and do the relaxed, just have fun but with no temping/OPK's, etc on our Vegas vacation when I could be due to ovulate in Aug. I'll do a ultrasound (follow up to starting clomid) with the RE the day we leave to Vegas. Come September if we aren't pregnant we will start doing the temping/charting/OPK's, etc.

    @HeyMrsPotter I am so, so sorry about the no-go IUI. Sending BIG HUGS your way. It's definitely understandable that you need some time to focus on you.

    I'm swamped preparing for vacation, so sorry this is short with no shout outs. I won't be back til next week so sorry for the radio silence after this. Hugs to all that need them!

    AFM: The monitor session went better than expected. The retained tissue definitely passed, as suspected after horrendous AF. Everything else looked great so he sprung the idea of a spontaneous IUI on us since I looked about to ovulate. (Plus +OPK's) Best of all, DH's sample looked better than it ever has; I'm thinking the clomid the urologist has him on is working its magic. Fingers crossed!

    QOTW: Sad to say, but everything I learned from my parents marriage I do the opposite of in my own; we are much happier and healthier for it.

  • @HeyMrspotter I'm so sorry to hear that the IUI didn't happen. Big, huge ((HUGS)) for you.

    @RedheadRunning‌ Glad to hear that your retained tissue passed! FX for a successful IUI!

    @mara005‌ Sorry about possible CD1

    @denamaree Glad to hear that you guys had fun and that you have a plan. FX for you!

    AFM, yeah, I am still spotting which sucks. Seems to be winding down, but who knows. I started BCP on Thursday and it's making me really nauseated in the mornings. I have not missed that. And I think my HcG levels are really low! I had a very faint squinter a couple of days ago, so hopefully I'll be getting negatives soon.

  • Thanks for the check-in @HeyMrsPotter.  I'm so sorry to hear about the failed IUI-cycle and YH's tooth.  So many {{HUGS}}.

    AFM, I'm getting ready to leave for vacation tomorrow - we're heading to Seattle to visit my brother and his family.  I'm super stressed at work right now and can really use this vacation, but I'm really upset that it is going to push me even further behind at work.  Such is life.  In other news, AF appeared yesterday (3rd AF post-loss) and it appears to be fairly "normal" compared to my last two, which is good, so I'm taking myself off the bench and we're going to NTNP for a cycle or two to ease back into TTC.  I'm still pretty scared of TTC again, so I'm hoping that NTNP will help.

    QOTW: I feel I've learned a lot from watching my siblings become parents.  I know that it'll be different when I am a parent myself, but seeing the things they struggled with and the ways they overcame parenting issues has left an impression on me.

  • I'm so sorry about the IUI @heymrspotter. How's your H doing now? Is it too crazy to split duties for check-in? It would be hard for me to do it every week, but I might could handle a few times a month.

    FX for you @redheadrunning

    @denamaree @mrskush1014 I'm glad you both have some next steps in mind.

    @raelynn71109 hoping for zero beta

    @mara005 good luck at your appointment

    AFM: I'll probably go tomorrow for my test, so no new TTC news for me. I think I've mentioned we're doing a bathroom renovation, so I've been buying a lot of stuff for that and that's about the most exciting thing going right now.

    QOTW: My mom spends a lot of time volunteering and she kicks ass at her job. So she taught me the importance of giving all you've got wherever you are at the moment.

  • Thanks for the kinds words about the IUI fail, all. I'm trying to remind myself we're not totally out for this cycle, as we did have TI at O-4 and O-2. (Or, if I really did O early, then O-3 and O-1.) DH's tooth is better, but now he has strained a muscle in his back. Like many ladies on TTCAL have noted of their H's, he's really pretty melodramatic about his aches, pains, sniffles, etc. It's pretty irritating, TBH. But I'm really trying to be patient with him, because I know it hurts.

    @mara005, I'm sorry about CD1, Hon. ((HUGS)). I hope you get some helpful answers at Friday's appointment.

    @DenaMaree, I'm so glad your Denver trip provided the opportunity to really reconnect and enjoy time with YH. I like the plan you have come up with regarding your TTC efforts for the next few months. It's great that you're in such a good place. I'm also really appreciate your willingness to help out with the check-in. I know you're pretty busy, so maybe you could take @littlecookie up on her offer to run it a few times a month -- perhaps every other week would work for you both. Also, I want to reassure you that it's totally the check-in leader's prerogative to decide which day of the week to post, so there's no rule saying it has to stay on Tuesdays. I'll leave it in the capable hands of you two ladies to determine how best you'd like to handle things from here, but please don't hesitate to let me know if you have questions. And, thanks very much to you both for stepping up. I know we're all busy, so I really appreciate your taking this on. It means a lot to me and, I'm sure, to all the ladies here.

    @littlecookie, I am envious of your bathroom renovation! You'll have to show us pics when things get further along. FX for a negative test when you go in.

    @redheadrunning, great news about the monitoring session and the surprise IUI! Have a great vacation.

    @raelynn71109, I'm sorry about the BCP side effects. Yuck. ((HUGS)). FX that last squinter means you'll have a negative very soon.

    @MrsKush1014, Hooray for coming off the bench! I think NTNP is a great way to ease back into things. I know it's hard to leave when the work is piling up, but I really hope you'll be able to take this time to unplug from all of that and enjoy the time with your brother and family.

    @sarcaztic10, You've got a lot going on as always! I hope AF's arrival is timed so that you can manage to schedule your HSG at a convenient time. FX that all goes smoothly with the closing on the new house.

    @HMR11913, it's a good thing I don't know how to find you in real life because there's a significant danger that I would come to your house and steal that puppy! I can see from your PIP that he's going to be a big, handsome guy. <3 I hope Carl and Jackz like him, LOL. And, congrats on getting started with healthy eating and some exercise.
  • @HeyMrsPotter I'm really sorry ((hugs)) FX your timing did the trick this month.

  • @raelynn Ugh...sorry about the pesky spotting! Hopefully your very close to being cleaned out  and it will be followed by a quick first cycle so you can get yourself regulated. I would imagine the even peskier BCP will also help that along!
    @MrsKush I LOVE Seattle! Enjoy your vacation!! So glad that third cycle seems to be the charm and it appears to be back to how you are use to it being. Seems like a great sign. NTNP does seem like the least stressful way to approach the near future, hoping and praying for you that it beings on great results!
    @littlecookie renovating is so much fun! So looking forward to seeing the results! I am hoping it will make the immediate future of feeling like it's a waiting game for the next step of TTC go faster. I'm completely flexible on sharing the duties of the check-in! Just let me know what works best for you and we can coordinate via PMing on what works best for your schedule!!
    @sarcaztic Closing on the house is so beyond awesome! Seems like there is a lot of craziness going on, but hopefully all goes smooth with your RE appointment, your AF shows in a timely matter, and all falls into place. Good luck with getting a plan in place and moving forward towards TTC!
    @HMR Your puppy is adorable! I am SO envious!! I can completely relate to the trials and tribulations of dieting. It's so easy to put a plan in place, but can be trickier when it comes to executing those plans. Good Luck in reaching your goals. Perhaps with such a busy schedule, you'll get in the extra excercize outside of just the routine dieting and gym routine to help shed some pounds.
    @HeyMrsPotter I'll look forward to any updates on where you are with your IUI news. You and your DH will remain in my thoughts!
    @tlc Hope your O arrives on track to being able to catch it and this is your month!!

  • @HeyMrsPotter - I'm sorry about the IUI bust and place that you find yourself right now.  Take care of yourself and we are most definitely here if you need us.

    I've realized there are way too many checkin boards that apply to me, so forgive me if this is a repeat from June loss for anyone...

    We got our karyotyping results in on the 4th and they were normal and it was such a big mess of emotions. It really seemed like that was going to make sense of all of this for us and, even though it wouldn't be an easy road, there would be a specific cause and "fix". So now we know that we'll eventually be referred to a MFM. We are still waiting on the autopsy/baby's chromosomes as well as going in the first week of August to have my entire body's blood drawn for my RPL testing and hopefully EVERYTHING will be back by early September and I'll go meet with the MFM with a diagnosis or for more testing to try to get one and we can make a plan. My OB promises that the MFM she refers to does not take forever to get people in, so she wants to wait until the bloodwork is back to send the referral. I know it makes sense but I'm not good at being patient, so that is my challenge for at least the next 5-6 weeks.

    On a happier note, I've lost 5lbs in the past 2 weeks and am doing well with keeping on track to lose 15lbs by my vacation in September- woo hoo!!

    QOTW: My Mom taught me early that you have to be able to take care of yourself and not count on someone else/a husband/SO/etc to do it for you. It made such a difference for me. I had friends graduating college and totally freaked out that they hadn't met "the one"- I think some of it is a Southern thing which doesn't help. I never felt that pressure and feel like that allowed me to establish my career and take my time finding the right person for me.  And if, whoever forbid, something happened to my relationship and I had to take care of myself and my family on my own, I could do it.  I think it just gives me additional security in my life and I really appreciate my Mom for helping me with that.

  • @HMR You go Girl !!
    @sunflwra It's all such a frustrating and long process. Hopefully the test results will provide you with answers quickly and the MFM will put a solid plan of action together! YEY for loosing weight! Keep up the great work!

    @HeyMrsPotter- Thank you for the check in and I am so sorry about the IUI, looks like you still had good timing though. I totally understand the dramatic husband thing. Mine is the worst when he’s hurt or sick. FX you can keep up your patience with him. Sending you ((Hugs))

    @mara005- I hope you guys can figure out something that works for you.

    @DenaMaree It’s so nice to connect like that. I love the times when we bring spontaneity into the relationship, it makes things just feel so good!

    @Redheadruning and @MrsKush1014 have wonderful vacations.

    @sarcaztic10 congrats on the closing, that is great news!

    @HMR11913- Get it girl!

     AFM, I’m just at the end of the 2ww. I’m still trying to figure out my cycles post D&C, so I’m not quite sure when AF will show. Also, since I just started charting, I’m anxious to learn how long my LP really is.

    I had a really good weekend and spent the majority of it poolside with the hubs. He just started a new job a couple weeks ago and we are finally working similar hours with the same days off, I am loving it!

    ETA: Looks like AF is on her way.

  • @LittleMrsW My favorite part about Summer is getting to relax poolside with H! We have a community pool in our backyard and I am so ready for Aug when the pool will start to become a lot less busy so we can make more of a effort to get there! Glad AF is making its appearance on target, hopefully it's not too bad for you and you also O on target!!

  • @tlc35, Yay for vacation! I hope your O timing works out well for you.

    @HMR11913, congrats signing up at the Y! It's always such a great feeling to make steps like this for your health -- I hope to take some inspiration from your good example. Enjoy the cycling classes.

    @sunflwra, I'm sorry you're kind of stuck in waiting mode at the moment. I can imagine that it must have been hard to not get answers when you were expecting them. ((HUGS)). But congrats on the weight loss, lady! Also....

    This. I could't agree more.

    @LittleMrsW, You're not out until AF actually shows, but still, I'm sorry about the spotting today. ((HUGS)). I'm so glad that you and YH are getting more time off together since the job change. A weekend spent poolside sounds fabulous.

  • @HeyMrsPotter :: Very sorry to read your update. Positive vibes and hugs sent your way.

    AFM, I am finally done with AF! Just took 18 days - seriously ridiculous, right?? According to FF, if I was still on schedule, I'd get her back next week. Not sure if that would be good (to get back on some sort of sked) or bad b/c that's a whole lot of annoyance. No other updates other than I started temping, didn't do that first time around so we'll see how it goes and if I can remember to do it.

    I have to head to DC next Friday and hubs is suggesting making a mini vaca out of it. Initially I just wanted to drive up and back in one day (torture, I know) but I know he's trying to be super sweet. I know my "distance" is due to everything that's happened but I don't know which is right: alone time just to have thinking time or shared time with my love. We'll have to coordinate soon so time will tell.

    Thanks for the checkin @HeyMrsPotter‌ and so sorry to hear about you having to cancel your IUI. Sending positive vibes and hoping time off or away from the whole process gives you seem clarity. ❤ Down to about 3 weeks until the wedding! Thanks for asking about the dress...Its a sad and happy story. When I strayed dress shopping I was pregnant anticipating a 5 month belly. I ordered a maternity wedding dress from England and loved it! Strapless ivory lace with a cute matching elbow length bolero. The day I found out about the MMC, I packed it up and sent it back. I couldn't think about it being in the bedroom. So I started the new search with from fitting dresses, always reminding me that my belly wouldn't be there. I kept thinking about "that" dress, so I recorded it 2 sizes smaller and it fit like a glove. It made me smile and remember how happy I'd been trying it on the first time...it is the one and I can't wait to officially wear it. In AF news, it finally arrived on CD31, 4 days late and with a vengeance! I say 'late' because I was always CD26/27 pre MC, but things are obviously different now. I had crazy cramps too, curled up on the couch taking painkillers left over from the D&C. Have any of you had the same happen post MC?
