I've been taking prenatal vitamins for about 3 months. I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I take vitamins with food. I've taken it different times of the day. Can anyone tell me why all of a sudden they are making me sick.
It's just so odd, they are the same ones I used when I was pregnant with DS1, and had no morning sickness with my first one. So you think it has to do with morning sickness
Ditto. But if I take the prenatals with milk I am fine..or orange juice. I don't know why. But I don't get nauseas anymore If I take it with water, I am screwed!
Sometimes being too hungry (empty) or too full can trigger it. When I had ms I took a gummy PNV so there was chewing involved. I also took them at night with some buttered toast.
Try taking them with milk or at a different time of day. If that doesn't work, try a new brand.
I took mine for months pre pregnancy and then during my first before my mmc, and then at about 6 or 7 weeks into this pregnancy they made me so sick I stopped taking them.
I consulted with my doctor about the same thing. I now take prenatal gummies without iron and i havent been sick since. My doc recommended i go back to ones with iron in the second trimester.
My doctor told me that The flintstones children's chewable vitamins have just as much folic acid as prenatals and for some reason they don't seem to make mamas feel sick!
