*For STM+*

Ok this pregnancy has been so different and I was just curious what is dramatically different this time (mental/physical etc.)?

My DD is almost 15 months and I am 14 weeks currently. The largest difference is the size of my boobs and my energy! My boobs are huge, sore, and just heavy!! Last time they gradually got bigger, but thus time I woke up one morning and I seriously went up a couple sizes. Of course I have less energy chasing my DD and I can't nap when I want, but I seriously thought the energy would come back in 2nd tri!

Anyway...just want to hear your thoughts this go around!

STM here too. I'm freaking exhausted but I am also chasing a 21 mo old. Nausea is diff. Not as bad. More emotional and far more impatient. Diff aversions. And no cravings (didn't last time either)

  • @313Meg my emotions are so out of wack this time and I feel like I cry and the drop of a hat. Last time I felt very happy...and nothing really bothered me. It has made me more sensitive for sure...I cried at this video where a little girl opened her birthday present and her dad jumped out of a box (just got back from Iraq). My husband also irritates me with the sounds he makes when he eats (nothing crazy just normal chewing sounds). I just feel unreasonable sometimes now!

  • Also a STM. I also have a 21 month old. Nausea was much worse this time. I think all the normal pregnancy symptoms were worse. Boobs are much more sore. Exhaustion is definitely worse but I am running after a toddler this time.

  • I am much more tired than last time. I do pretty well until around 2 or 3 and then I can hardly function. I am gaining weight faster too!

I hear you on the weight!! It's ridiculous! I just feel "softer" than last time!

  • Also have a 21 month old. A lot more nausea and exhaustion this time. And I'm already showing at almost 15 weeks. And it ain't no bloat. I'm always emotional so that hasn't changed. I do sometimes forget I'm pregnant though just because we are always so busy.
  • Third time here. It feels really different this time! My boobs are sore, my morning sickness is lasting forever, my skin is crazy sensitive, and I'm super emotional. I wasn't like this at all with my boys!
  • STM here with a 20 month old son. Biggest differences so far are breast size, more headaches, less nausea, and less anger but more impatience. My boobs grew two sizes with DS; I looked forward to that perk again this pregnancy, but nothing so far. I had headaches last pregnancy, but this time they are unreal. I find out next week what sex the baby is, super excited to pick a name!
  • STM with a 4 year old...MS (aka all the time sickness) is much worse this time (didn't have it last time)...showing at 14 weeks now when I was closer to 20 last time....and the boobs are way more tender. It's another boy for us....but with all the crazy symptoms I was betting it was a girl. Man was I surprised!
  • More nausea, more exhaustion, 2.5 year old toddler gives zero f... well, you know.

WFHM with a 19 month old. Everything seems different this time. I don't remember being this tired and nauseous the first time. I'm 14 weeks and the exhaustion has not let up whatsoever!!! I'm way more emotional and irritable this time. And my boobs do seem way bigger this time too. My whole damn body is way bigger :(

ETA: that I also have less appetite this time. Nothing ever sounds good :-&

I'm actually less nauseous and exhausted than I was with DS (1 yr)... I'm still tired and nauseous but with ds I literally felt like the life was sucked out of me. I'm definitely more irritable and super emotional... I started crying during an episode of Girl Meets World on the Disney Channel today... really?
  • STM DS is 6 years old and a triple ADHD threat lol
I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and this time around I'm completely nauseous
    I've got cravings like I can't believe
    I'm hungry all the time
    I'm extremely more impatient
    And I'm always exhausted
Can't wait to see how big this peanut is in 2 weeks at the next ultrasound
I've got a hunch that it's a girl, but I thought that when I was pregnant with DS too :-)
  • STM, Dd is 13 months and I'm 12 weeks. Overall I feel terrible, like last time - no appetite, lots of vomiting and fatigue :(

My cravings are different though and I am way more irritable and emotional!

With DS, if I ever laid down, I was never getting back up. It literally felt like a weighted blanket was on me, sucking every ounce of energy I had. Not sure if I have more energy this time or if it's just cause I can't lay around with DS running around, but I'm not as exhausted. Still tired, but not lifeless
  • Im 12w3d and have an active 2 year old boy and I'm feeling so much more tired this time! I feel like I could stay in bed all day, but unfortunately he won't allow that, darn. My nausea isn't as bad but I just don't feel like eating most of the time. Last time my boobs hurt so badly, but this time I just have some tenderness. I will say that the first tri flew by much more quickly because we have so much more going on.
  • This is my third child. Each pregnancy has been so radically different.
  • My lo will be 2 in 2 weeks. I'm so exhausted its insane. I don't have any serious cravings except for orange juice. I also have been gaining weight very easily which is not the norm for me. I'm happy to hear others are in the same boat
  • I am 11 weeks today, with a 10 month old. Nausea has been worse this time around, although with my son I definitely threw up more. Now, it's constant nausea, and tons of food adversion. Some days it hard to find anything that I can eat. Usually the thought alone is disgusting enough to keep me away. The exhaustion is bad, but getting better
  • I have a 14 mo daughter and this pregnancy is so different than from that one. I wasn't super sick with her but definitely had MS and food aversions. I was in bed every night by 7:00pm and napped while my husband drove us home from work. This time I had mild nausea in the mornings for a week and that was it. No MS after that. My sense of smell was heightened for a little while but that has gone down and I've had energy the entire time. Crazy! I am showing much faster this time at 14 weeks though and my belly is already tight.
  • I'm a STM as well, my DD is 3 in December. I find I'm way moodier this go-round with sore boobs, lots of back aches and no energy to keep up with my DD. I've been called a blood hound cos of my sniffer on over drive too.
  • Stm with a 2.5 year old daughter. I am mote nauseous, exhausted and moodier.

  • I have 2 kids already one boy and one girl with my daughter my sickness was really bad for the 1st 3 months to the point that if I closed me eyes it felt like the room was spinning and if I opened them I was sick, with me son my sickness wasn't as bad and I mainly felt ill in the evenings and would go to sleep early in order to try sleep through the sickness I felt, with this baby I've gagged a lot and feel nauseous on and off all day mainly if I leave it to long between meals but I've been so tired which is something I don't remember with the other two, I've also had really sore boobs the whole time which I don't remember before and in also getting bad headaches and stomach aches, u put the stomach aches down to carrying a bit more weight this time round than I did with my last two pregnancies and the tiredness down to the fact I'm now in my mid 30s where I was in my early 20s the 1st time round, I don't really have any cravings yet as I'm only 10w 5d but with my daughter it was cheese and my son was burnt toast
  • Talk about exhaustion, I have a 9 month old (a crawler almost walking) the nausea won't stop, my back is already aching which didn't happen until way after I started to show with my first and sleeping in my tempripedic mattress is uncomfortable! What is wrong with me?!? Maybe it's a girl. Lol

Yes! I used to have to go out to my car on my lunchbreak and take a nap. I felt like Bella in Twilight - having all of the life sucked out of me. It was so bad and made me never want to be pregnant again.
  • This time I don't mind Mexican food, but cannot eat bacon, pepperoni, or the type of sausage they put on pizza.

My hair is coming out more this time. I don't remember having issues with my hair last time.

  • I think overall I actually feel about the same, if not better than the first time. Tired from chasing an active 13 month old, but that's about it (almost 13 weeks). However, I do think I'm more irritable and emotional this time. Sorry, husband!
