Hi. Trying to wind down here. L wouldn't nap in the car so it's been wild. He is seriously mad that we didn't go to the actual beach today.

My 90 lb idiot dog collided full force and head on with my knee during the height of the rowdiness. It didn't feel good but I'm thinking wine will help.

We're rained out here. The parade we planned to go to got cancelled because of this damn monsoon we had today.

My friend who I invited to come with us?  She's been messaging me this evening.  She told me she wouldn't be coming, but that she really wishes she was here.  Um.  Ok.  You could have been!

Her H was bitching because of the potential for traffic, so I think that's why they decided against coming.  I told her the joke was on them because there wasn't any traffic and we made better time than we usually do on non-holiday weekends (this is entirely true, btw).  AND the weather is perfectly perfect.  So, HA!

We're at DH's cousins house for a cookout. I'm sitting in a room by myself nursing my very fussy baby. She keeps jumping every time a firework goes off and taking my nipple with her. She looks very cute today though.

I couldn't even tell you what I am drinking, some odd concoction in a bottle I grabbed at the liquor store, it's got tequila and triple sec and whatever else. Went to the dr for a follow up today over a rash and now get to add thyroid testing to shit to do, figured it was a matter of time. Yay drinking.

Watching the DC fireworks show on NPTV, watched the Macy's one first from NYC.  Listening to all of the neighbors shooting off their fireworks.  My house overlooks a major highway so I can't do the ones that I like.  Last year this went on until roughly midnight or later.
