I am angry.

Yesterday, the universe basically squatted and pissed all over me.

First, DH found out that it will be difficult to get the part needed to fix my truck. It should have been an easy fix, but now it has been non-working for a week.

Secondly, yesterday we were at the store with a cart full of groceries. It was our bi-weekly shopping trip, and we always have quite a few things to get. At the register, the debit card decided to mess up, saying we had insufficient funds. We checked the in-store ATM. $6 it said, but yesterday was DH's pay day. Somehow his entire check disappeared. We may as well have no money this weekend. Goodbye Independence Day plans. And groceries. And truck parts. And gas. And food.

And this part really got me down:
About a month ago, I applied for a job working at the dry cleaners. The interview went great, and she said she was going to fire some people and then call me back. "If I don't call you by Friday, call me!" she said.
I called Friday. "Uhm... I'll call you Monday." she said.  
We played the you-call-me/I'll-call-you game for another week and then nobody called anybody anymore.

I found a new job and applied. I was really excited because I'd be sewing for a lady who invented a vest for blind dogs. It's really cool and has an attachment to keep the dogs from running into things. I mean, it's a really awesome business. 
I went in for an interview. I sewed a practice vest so she could see my skills.
She said that I looked like I know what I'm doing on a sewing machine, and that I did an excellent job. She said I was hired.
She said she'd call and we would set up a time for me to come in and train.
I was so freaking excited.
Two days later the lady at the dry cleaners called me and said, "We need somebody now! Do you still need a job!?" 
I said, "No. sorry, I just accepted another job two days ago!"

Then, after turning down that job, the lady for whom I was going to sew called yesterday.
"Hi. Sorry. I interviewed more people. I'll be hiring one of them instead of you. I'll call you in the future if I need you!"

So, I lost both jobs. 
I also had a hypoglycemic episode for no particular reason yesterday. It plummeted to 57. I haven't had one of those in years.


I am angry, pissed off, and I just want some of that ice cream we had to leave at the store.

Holy fuck. I'm raging for you. Can you claim unemployment I wonder? Bc technically she hired you... Call the laundromat back ASAP and ask if they still need the help. I'm sorry mama. Why do shitty things happen over holiday weekends??

Yeah, call the dry cleaner back. It doesn't hurt to ask if the position is still open.

Sorry the universe sucks. Are you able to figure out what happened to DH's check?

That sucks! Have you called the bank to see where the paycheck went? I agree that you should also call the dry cleaners back.

Wow I'm so sorry that sounds terrible! I hate when things pile on like that, it's the worst. I totally understand you being angry!
