I hate when I load our BMB and it's filled with random polls.

If this is an UO count me in the unpopular crowd
Good grief. People complain when the board is boring, they complain (rightly) when someone decides to be a douchebag and we've got unpleasant drama going on, practically every day someone predicts that the board will be dead soon. At least the polls are lighthearted and got some discussion going. But I guess it's more fun to just complain.
So three polls on masturbation is interesting and fun? Huh

I have never complained that the board is boring or that it's going to be dead soon. And polls are fine, to a point. This seemed more like spamming to me.

It can be. But if it's not your cuppa, there's always the scroll bar located conveniently to the right. There are also links to other pages of this board at the top and bottom if you want to look for less recent discussions. Oh, and! There's even an option at the top that you can click on to start a new, interesting, fun discussion of your very own. #somanychoices #itslikeapoll
Thank you for that Bump tutorial, but it's still my (perhaps unpopular) opinion that it's spamming and annoying for someone to fill up the first page with polls on every single mundane thing that comes to her mind.

I wasn't actually replying to you, but you are most welcome anyway. I hope it helped. Spam is actually not a matter of opinion, though. If it had been spam, the Bump Gods would have smote it. Perhaps they could still be persuaded with the right combination of prayer and sacrificial Oreos. It's worth a try if you feel very strongly about your polls-are-spam opinion.
I think I've used my good karma for the week.

True. Which makes the remaining space even more valuable!

I am going to see my ILs for the next 5 days.  They run a milkshake stand at fairs and carnivals all summer.  My UO: Milkshakes are better than alcohol
I am genuinely curious... Is this their only job and do they make enough for the year to live off of? That would be crazy in the best of ways!

We did find it, but it was kind of burnt.  GR would have smashed it and threw people out of the kitchen.  DH made it and it was much better, but not GR worthy
That sucks really bad.  I would've sent it back!  Maybe at Chili's it'd suffice but not if I'm forking over just under $100 for one entrée.

He's a  married man!  ...but I am dying  for a taste of his beef wellington.
DH and I went on a quest to find a restaurant with beef wellington after watching Hells Kitchen

We had mini beef wellingtons during our cocktail hour.  We only got to eat them at the tasting because they were all gone by the time we were done taking pictures.  :(

  • @txmom13 - That video is awesome! That is all.
  • FFthC: while i didn't spend 10k on my wedding flowers, i spent more on my flowers than some people do for their whole wedding.

@carawasa‌ this is a wedding I was in - $12k for the flowers (plus what was inside). I nearly shit myself when I found out how much they cost. image

They are pretty gorgeous. Where was this?

But I cannot see the appeal when all of that money could go towards a pretty hefty down payment on a house, instead. We spent $5k on ours and in retrospect, I wish we had just gone to the courthouse and been done with it.

Did anyone make their money back?  We certainly didn't.  Just our food was like $85/pp and most couples only gave us $100 (most guests gave cash).  I didn't expect to make our money back, though.
