I'm starting this because I have to go to work So let's hear 'em!

Wedding songs edition! I don't hate silly cliche songs at weddings, like the electric slide and the chicken dance. I think they're fun and they get the whole thing moving. I especially love the Cupid Shuffle because, if you don't tell me the steps to your dance in each line of the song, I'm not gonna know how to dance to it.

Also, I think some popular wedding songs are inappropriate for weddings. Ex: Paradise By the Dashboard Light is a song about a guy who married a girl because he wanted to have sex with her and now he wants to die so he doesn't have to spend another minute with her. Ex 2: Daughters (by John Mayer) is about a girl whose father messed her up so bad that now she can't have a functioning adult relationship.  Seriously, to me it's like playing Brick or The Freshman at your wedding.

Side story: DH put lyrics from Daughters as his away message on AIM (LOL! Remember AIM?!?) when we first started dating. I remember thinking, "Oh, that's weird, but sweet I guess." Fast forward 9 years later and we have a discussion about it. He didn't know what the song was about, and I ruined it for him. Oops.

People complain when the board is boring, they complain (rightly) when someone decides to be a douchebag and we've got unpleasant drama going on, practically every day someone predicts that the board will be dead soon. At least the polls are lighthearted and got some discussion going. But I guess it's more fun to just complain.

I have never complained that the board is boring or that it's going to be dead soon. And polls are fine, to a point. This seemed more like spamming to me.

Nah because the Bump will let you know if it's spam TRUST ME.  It will then lie to you and tell you "oh, just wait 2 short minutes!!" but secretly they'll lock you out much longer than that and 2 minutes already feels like eternity when you're fingers are burning to hit that post button.

It can be. But if it's not your cuppa, there's always the scroll bar located conveniently to the right. There are also links to other pages of this board at the top and bottom if you want to look for less recent discussions. Oh, and! There's even an option at the top that you can click on to start a new, interesting, fun discussion of your very own. #somanychoices #itslikeapoll

Thank you for that Bump tutorial, but it's still my (perhaps unpopular) opinion that it's spamming and annoying for someone to fill up the first page with polls on every single mundane thing that comes to her mind.

I wasn't actually replying to you, but you are most welcome anyway. I hope it helped. Spam is actually not a matter of opinion, though. If it had been spam, the Bump Gods would have smote it. Perhaps they could still be persuaded with the right combination of prayer and sacrificial Oreos. It's worth a try if you feel very strongly about your polls-are-spam opinion.

I think I've used my good karma for the week.

We had mini beef wellingtons during our cocktail hour.  We only got to eat them at the tasting because they were all gone by the time we were done taking pictures.

FFthC: while i didn't spend 10k on my wedding flowers, i spent more on my flowers than some people do for their whole wedding.

Did anyone make their money back?  We certainly didn't.  Just our food was like $85/pp and most couples only gave us $100 (most guests gave cash).  I didn't expect to make our money back, though.
