Cant wait to tell!!!!When are you telling everyone?

We, meaning me, have told a few close family and friends, but I'm only 6 weeks. My husband really wants to wait until we are past the 1st trimester to let everyone else know, I agree, but I'm just so excited! Had a few obstacles to over come to get here, so I guess we should be cautious! However, it's hard hanging out with my friends without a drink in hand, they will know something is up, so I've become a hermit!

We told my best friend and SIL. We each wanted one support person other than each other until we broke the news. We're waiting until after our first appointment, which will be in between 9 and 10 wks, to tell my parents as I want to tell them in person and they live in a different state. We'll tell my in laws shortly after. Holding off telling friends until we have told our parents but that is getting harder. They are starting to get suspicious. FB announcement will be around 12 wks. Can't wait to break the news! So hard keeping it to ourselves. We are just so excited!

I will see a huge majority of my Facebook friends during my 13th week so I plan to announce on there right before we leave for that trip. Many of my close friends already know, but since it is twins I'm looking quite chubby already and I don't want them all to think I just got fat!

I told my mom and sister. DH told his boss so he could come to my doctors appointment. I'm having an annual girls night tomorrow so I'll have to tell them, otherwise there will be questions about why I'm not drinking. Other than that I'm waiting until my u/s on the 30th to tell the rest of the family and waiting until I go back to school at the end of August to tell coworkers/put it on FB. 

I hate having to wait but the more people I tell now, the more people I'll have to tell if something bad happens.

We told my mom last Sunday, and we're telling the rest of our immediate family this week coming up. And close friends will be told around week 12. As to social media, we don't plan on making any announcement. If anything, I would probably post something with a hidden message in it, lol.

I couldn't get in to the doctor until July 31st, and I really want to see and hear the heartbeat before we announce to family! I'm not sure I can keep a secret that long.

People at work know bc I have lifting restrictions (after FET), some immediate family know, but hubby wants to wait until 12 weeks to tell ppl. So, we'll be breaking it to the world around August 10th... I agree...toughest secret to keep ever!

We told only close friends & family when we initially found out, since we had a miscarriage last October, I'll feel more confident about telling when I hear a heartbeat & see progress. Our due date is FEBURARY 2, 2015!

Additionally, when we do announce, I'd like to do a photo with our dog.

We told my mom right away (she cried lol) and the rest of our immediate fam a week later. Slowly we have been telling close friends as we have been trying for a year and are so excited. I live far away from extended family but will see them all next weekend at graduation parties so I think I will tell in person then.
As for social media when we are ready to make an announcement, we will use the fact that my husband and I root for opposing baseball teams. We already have nuks from each team so maybe take a picture of them and say "which one will baby like better? We'll find out in February!" (Obviously baby will like my team better )

We are doing something similar. .using a sports team to make the announcement. ..we love dallas..most of my fbook friends hate them so ill be posting a pic of dallas baby apparrel with the announcement...can't wait

This is our third. I told my best friends the day I found out, we we told some of the parents this week as we are staying with them for the 4th. We have our ultrasound the 14th so will be comfortable will telling others after that I guess. I was more cautious with our first two than I am this time around. We've done the whole "big brother" shirts in the past and that was cute.

We just told our parents, closest friends, and our bosses as well. I'll be 9 weeks on Wednesday but we're waiting until 2nd tri to announce on social media.

We had an early miscarriage last time (hadn't told friends yet just family) so we are waiting until 12 weeks to tell even though we had a really good ultrasound this week. I have a friend who is a great photographer so we scheduled with her to take announcement photos for our Facebook announcement.

We are waiting until 8 weeks.  I honestly can't hold off any longer, plus we will just be confirming everyone's suspicions.

I would definitely caution against announcing early on Facebook as well. We waited for the FB announcement until after our 20 week in depth u/s when we saw everything was normal. We had a miscarriage first and it was horrible to untell people. Especially random people in your work building etc who may not have gotten the memo that you miscarried. I know it's hard, but only tell the people that you would personally want to discuss a miscarriage with.

P.s. For our first pregnancy, we saw the heartbeat on our first ultrasound, thought we were safe, and then it was gone on the second ultrasound.

how far along were you at your second ultrasound?

I must say reading a lot of stuff on the internet has me absolutely paranoid not only as it relates to telling people but just even accepting that I'm pregnant and going to have a child...what it seems like is that until the baby is in ur hands and even then something can go wrong at any time...even if you wait...anyone else find that so disheartening? I want to be optimistic but sometikes its really hard the more knowledge I gain just have to remember. .the odds are in our favor..*walks off chanting "odds are in our favor*

@jenniferodu‌ , at our second ultrasound we were 7.5 weeks (at 6.5 weeks there was a normal heartbeat)

Thanks @negritosmami‌ , it was devastating. I'm sure plenty of people have had it much worse than us, I just can't imagine. Hoping we all have healthy pregnancies and babies!

@sarahnwill‌ yes maam..there's always someone who will have it worse .that doesn't diminish what you went thru but yes we will speak good things into existence..healthy pregnancies for all of us

I am going back and forth on when to tell everyone, 8 weeks or 12 I figure if i can keep my mouth shut for 8 weeks what is another 4! My husband on the other hand he is going to break soon! Lol
