What strollers are you all looking at?

We went today and looked at some in the store. I went in wanting to see the City Mini but they didnt have it-only the City Select. I liked the Uppababy but am not crazy about the price tag. Now wondering if the City Versa might be worth checking out. Anyone with experience in these models? What others are you all considering?

Emnob28 did you look at the Citi Versa at all? What I'm liking is that it has the reversable seat but still folds very easy and is fairly lightweight-though not as light as the Mini. I didn't want to like the Uppababy but it was pretty nice. I liked the Vista more than the Cruz but I can't quite put my finger on a solid reason why.
  • I think I've decided on the Britax B Agile after test driving and some research.

  • I thought I was pretty well set knowing I wanted a Bob jogging stroller until I found out only one, maybe two, model(s) has an adjustable height handle. Given that my husband is 6'2" and I'm 5'2", and that the Bob's only take one particular car seat, I'm starting to expand my search options. My mind is still pretty blown away with how many options there are. I'd love to have a great lightweight option but I can't really justify having two strollers...
  • We really liked the City Mini GT. I went to the store looking at the Bob strollers but they seemed so big. We haven't bought one yet but have the GT in mind.
  • We're getting the Bumbleride Indie, it's considered a jogger, but only weighs 20lbs. I work at a baby boutique and it's my bosses present to me, I'm so excited!
  • This decision is one on the back-burner for us. The available options are so overwhelming and I don't think we'll really need one right away. I'm definitely enjoying the opinions, though, because I'll probably change my tune in a couple of months!

We are going with the Bugaboo Buffalo. We live in the city, and do a lot of walking, but also spend time in the woods and at the beach. This stroller is sturdy and can handle different terrains. We also considered Uppa but it didn't feel nearly as comparatively sturdy when we tested them.
  • Does anyone here recommend a travel system stroller? I feel like if enjoy the carrier when LO is small, but most of the strollers in the sets are pretty big unless I wanna drop like 800 bucks (at least that's pretty much canadian prices)
  • We went with the Graco Travel System Stylus. It folds up nicely, easy transition between car seat and stroller, and light weight. We tested it out and it was super easy to use and handled a variety of terrain. Happy shopping!

The Britax B-Agile stroller works as a "travel system" with the Britax B-Safe infant seat.

  • Britax Agile-B for sure.  My sister has it so I have used it with my niece.  Loved it all--lightweight, easy to maneuver and Consumer Reports loves it too.  :)

  • I an going with the city mini after trying them out at the store and talking to a sales assotiate. It us associated most the same thing assotiate most the b-agile and you can buy the adapter for almost any type of car seat for the city mini to turn it into a "travel stroller".

We got the city mini, it has the features that we were looking for and I really liked it when I tested it in store.

  • Mark another up for the Britax B-Agile. It just seemed like the most practical option and I like the fact that it is easy to collapse to put in the trunk. It's also one of the top rated on Lucie's List.
  • We bought the Britax B-Agile Double, the box is sitting in the other room tempting me to put it together.

  • FTM here, but we are getting the Graco Stylus Click Connect Travel System. Height is fine for both DH (6'1) and I (5'9). I did think it was a little heavier than I wanted, but it had everything else we wanted so I'll just work on my biceps. :)

  • We are looking at the Graco Stylus Classic Connect Travel System. I like the convenience of a travel system. I'm not too worried about the weight since it seems fairly easy to use. My only concern is that a lot of babies tend to grow out of the carseat a little earlier than expected, but we would have to upgrade to a new carseat eventually anyway.

  • We already have the Britax B-Ready, so we'll be getting the second seat for that. I would also love to get the Bob Dualie double jogging stroller for next spring when this LO is a little older. I totally recommend any Britax stroller - they work great as travel systems with the Britax carseats!

  • We bought a BOB. I'm a little confused on how the carseat can work with it, but I registered for the Britax carseat with the adapter.  And the BOB was a pretty good price through Amazon, and we had free shipping with Prime.

  • I've been set on the City Mini GT (haven't purchased yet)....but I also love the Peg Perego 4/35 car seat & they haven't released an adapter for the stroller so I'm really hoping that happens soon or I might end up picking a different car seat. I just love that the car seat holds up to 35 pounds when similar seats only hold about 22. (I've also been looking at the Maxi Cosi Mico)

  • We went with the uppababy vista. I really wanted the mesa car seat, but it's not available in Canada yet. We went with the peg one that has an adaptor for the vista.

Don't worry too much about the weight, most kiddos seem to outgrow the infant seat developmently (like they don't want to lay down anymore, they want to sit more up-right) before they outgrow it in weight. Height is also important, if a seat is physically outgrown it's usually in height first.

The higher height/weight allowances I thought were a plus when I bought DS's seat (Britax B-Safe, 32" tall or 30 pounds), and I do really like the seat, but we didn't get anywhere close to those numbers before switching to a convertible seat.
When we switched, DS was 6.5 months, 28.5" tall, 20 pounds.
Now he's almost 2 years old and is just about 30 pounds (and he's not "small", he's in size 3T clothes and is ~75th percentile height & weight).

  • We got the Britax B Ready. We liked the B Agile as well but DH really wanted to be able to turn the seat to rear facing. I wasn't happy with the price tag, but we got a discontinued color on crazy clearance.

  • I think we are going with the  Graco Stylus Classic Connect Travel System.  Just FYI for anyone considering Graco. This is just from research I did... but from what I understand the click connect does not work with everyone's base.  So if a grandparent or a STM already has other bases for the car seat, this will not likely work for them unless it is specifically Click Connect. Hope that makes sense.

  • We're going with the UppaBaby Vista and Mesa carseat.  We tested a bunch at a local baby expo and liked the Vista best.

  • We lucked out and have a friend who tests baby products for her company. She gets to keep some of the products afterwards, so she's been hoarding stuff for us. We got a free Quinny Moodd stroller from her - so psyched! This thing costs the big bucks, so it's cool to have it for free!! :)

  • We got the Graco Fast Action Fold Jogger. I know it is a bit heavier, but where we live the side walks are really uneven. We like that the front wheel locks and unlocks for walking or jogging.

My neighbor had the light weight Graco travel systems and the traditional plastic tires got stuck in divots and places where the sidewalk didn't connect evenly. She didn't enjoy walking when she kept getting jolted to a halt by the stroller getting stuck. She actually started using her jogging stroller, just for the air tires.

Also, there are gravel paths we can walk too that the more rugged tires will be better for. We also liked the price!

I'm looking at this one and the Britax system. I know three people with the Graco, but I like the idea of the lighter weight that I've read for the Britax. I think its going to come down to what I like better in person, I just need to go and test them out.

  • We have the Chicco KeyFit 30 Travel System and love it! It's lightweight and folds up very easily.

We are now shopping for a double stroller! :)

  • We are looking to get the Graco Fast Action Fold Jogger too. We live in the outskirts of town and have a lot of trails around the house out in the desert so I think this one would be the best for us. We have gravel and uneven walkways along the road so I think the tires will cover that easier.

  • We're going with the City Select. Seemed like the sturdiest and best designed for two kids to us. I did like the Uppa but didn't like the way the rumble seat attached. We are between the Mesa and Britax car seats and the City Select has adapters for both.

It's overwhelming how many options there are out there!!

@mrsmechanic1‌ I tried to use the code but it's not working for some reason! Would you mind sharing the link??

This is what I registered for :) this and the infant car seat to go with it at first.

  • We have a nine-year old Zooper (I am not sure they are even in business anymore) that we will likely use if it is still in decent shape. I have to see if it has survived the last 3 years in the basement though. If I need a new one, I will likely get an Uppa Baby.
  • We are getting the Graco™ Ready2Grow™ Viceroy Stand & Ride Tandem Stroller. I have to buy a new carseat to go with it but it's perfect for a growing toddler (she will be 16 months when this one is born) and a baby.
  • We ended up getting the City Select because we are planning on having two under 3 or 4 years. We live in a city and will baby wear on public transport but wanted a double stroller option when at the zoo or mall or something.

  • @mrsmechanic1‌ the code no longer works but thanks for sharing, great find!!
  • I too am looking at the Graco fast action jogger stroller. When I was pregnant with my first whose almost 7 now I had a regular graco travel system which was fine, we live in a small town. But then moved up to a baby trend sit and stand when we had our 2nd, which was fine at first but it got so heavy pushing 2 boys around. The wheels always weren't moving right, it was a constant struggle but made it work for a few years. I'm moving up to a jogger just for easier, smoother ride. I know a lot of people in my town with it and very happy with the graco jogger :)
  • I just found a chicco key fit 30 travel system with an extra base for 125 on Craigslist. Whooooo hoo, I will take it. FX this works out.
