Losing your virginity

The other sex thread made me think of this. How old were you when you lost it? Where at? Was it great or awful or just plain awkward?

I was 22, a late bloomer. Me and my ex both lived with our parents and so we rented a hotel room for a few hours. Besides being painful it was mainly just awkward. I didn't know what I was doing so I just laid there. At no point did it start to feel good. I was with him for almost a year and sex with him never felt good. In fact it was painful most of the time so I figured something was wrong with me. I guess it was just him however because with my current bf it feels amazing every time, absolutely no pain ever.

I was 15 and it was with my first real love.  We had been together for almost a year and we had sex in the back of his car.  It was summertime and we were out in the country at night.  It was actually a really fun experience since it was the first time for both of us.  I still remember the smell of his cologne and how sweet it was.  After we got past that first initial experience, we were animals until we broke up almost a year later.  Thank goodness my mother had put me on birth control and I am so thankful that we never had an oops.  He really was a great guy and he set a pretty high standard for future boyfriends and my husband.  Luckily, my husband is also amazing.

I was 14 he was 18, it was the night of a good friends sweet 16 and he just happened to show up, I had dated him for about a month before and decided to leave the party and go have some "real fun" lol we went up to his house and we did it in his bunk bed, he made me get on top and I had nooooo idea what I was doing and it was absolutely horrible... he lasted about 15 seconds and i literally asked him if it was in like 4 times in that time and was greatly disappointed after we were done. I literally said "soooo thats what all the hype is about? REALLY?" and ended up not doing it again until I was 15 and could actually count it as sex and it literally sucked up until I met my first born's sperm donor. The only 2 people who have ever been able to get me off are him and my other half.

The first time sex was ever consentual, I was 18. I had always because of my past and faith, wanted to wait until I was married. It was my first year of college and I was head over heels in lust. Everything leading up to the actual event was great. But actual sex was horrible!! It happened only two times again after that and then I ended things. It wasn't enjoyable at all and triggered way to much of my past! My husband on the other hand.... Nothing wrong between us at all!

I was 16 with my high school boyfriend - we ended up dating for 5 years afterwards. The first time was really special and it wasn't super painful. The quality was meh the whole relationship but I didn't really know any better. About 6 months after we broke up (I had slept with a couple people during that 6 months) we hooked up a couple times. I was 15 and he was 16. First real high-school boyfriend. It only happened once because I was so traumatized. The sex wasn't bad, just strange, uncomfortable and awkward. Then we noticed I was bleeding, A LOT! lol nope it was not my period either. I had to shower, he had to shower and the mattress looked like a murder scene.... yeah fun stuff.

Anyways I moved a few months later all of a sudden because my mom remarried and I didn't have sex again until I was almost 18.

I was 17 - one of my mom's two memorable pieces of sex ed advice was "Don't lose your virginity in a car" - so I didn't - lol.  I was visiting my HS boyfriend at his older sister's house where he was spending the summer and we had sex in his nephew's bed.  I think there was a cardboard cutout of a Storm Trooper in the corner.  It didn't hurt, and my legs were shaking uncontrollably afterwards, which I think may just have been the position we were in, (kind of missionary but with my legs in the air? I don't know if that has a name)  I was in love, I'd known him since elementary school, no regrets.

A few months later, I was dating someone else, and figured I had already done it, so who cares. Until I realized without a doubt we most definitely did not have sex that night.

While I feel like a huge idiot- I also have to wonder wtf he was thinking. He wasn't a virgin, and thought we had sex? O_o.

28, the morning after our wedding at the hotel we were staying at.  Lucky me, my period started the Wednesday before our wedding so I was at the very end of it on our wedding day.  DH wanted to wait until morning but I was ready that night.  It was tight but not painful and I couldn't wait to get home and go again.

I think one of my students (23 yrs old) has a crush on me.  It's kind of awkward, he comes to my office all the time and asks random/dumb questions about class and then shifts the conversation to be about more personal topics.  He's actually a really nice smart kid, but it's so awkward because, well, obvi, DH, and the whole pregnancy thing.  I just try to be polite and professional.  Class ended today anyway.

I was 18.  It was the summer after my first year of college.  I had done "everything but" with several guys, but wanted to wait on sex.  I decided it was time and told the guy I was dating then that I wanted to have sex.  It was actually really good, surprisingly!  Hurt a little, but got better from there.  The guy turned out to be kind of a weirdo.  He's now very overweight, lives in Chicago, and sells realty, haha.  We're Facebook friends.

I am VERY lucky in that my first experience was beyond amazing.

First, I had 2 rules for myself.  #1 - I knew sex wasn't for kids, and I wanted to wait till I was at least 18.  (I was 18 and a half.     )   #2 - I did NOT want it to be in a car or on a couch in some guy's basement.  I wanted to spend the entire night with someone that I cared about (and that cared about me.)

I fell crazy in love with a guy that lived quite a few provinces away....   He was in my city visiting his family at Christmas...  and we met and spent a week together.  Then he went home.  And we kept in touch via snail mail and phone ($$$$ in the early 90s).   In May he called me one night and said that the travel agency at my university now had his credit card information and that he wanted to fly me out for a visit. 

So I went and it was one of the best weeks of my life.  And the sex?  Insanely good.  No pain whatsoever, multiple orgasms...  complete and utter perfection. 

Unfortunately, the distance killed us over the next year.  And it was pretty tragic.  It took us both a long, long time to recover.

Now?  He is a journalist... and whenever I see his name (and sometimes photo) in a newspaper or online I get all tingly....   Damn, that really was the one who got away!   20 years ago and the man still has an affect on me.  The funniest part?  He only lives 4 hours from where I do now.  lol.   Two decades too late.

We "dated" for a bit after that but he lived a few hours away and it fizzled. Not really what I was envisioning my first time to be- would take it back if I could!

Another late bloomer over Here. I had done other stuff with hs boyfriends but was waiting on sex. I had just turned 19 and it was with my college boyfriend at his apartment he shared with his mom. Don't think she was home lol. It was awkward but not awful. We dated for 3 years before I dumped his cheating ass.

18 just after starting college with a guy I had been dating for 2 years. It was short but sweet since we were each other's firsts. We dated 2 more years. Then later I met DH and discovered sex could be a whole lot better.

I had just turned 15. It was with my boyfriend who I dated from 13-17. I don't want to call him my high school sweetheart, because he turned into an abusive sociopath after we had sex. I wish I broke up with him, but I didn't and that's another story. Anyway, it was right around this time of year, just a couple of weeks after my 15th birthday. We had been together for over a year. He was 17, about to turn 18. It was at his house, where I was spending the weekend. It ended up happening on his bedroom floor, which was messy and downright dirty, with a full, stinky ashtray right next to my head. After it was over, I was so disappointed and wrote in my journal that it was overrated. We went at it like crazy though, our friends nicknamed us "the bunnies". I never enjoyed it, though, and just thought I was broken.

I left him when I was 17, stayed single for almost 2 years, then started dating a guy I had had a crush on since I was 14. He taught me that I absolutely wasn't broken.

13 with my boyfriend of six months (he was 17). I know that is awfully young, but we did wait and felt we were ready at the time. We ended up dating for almost two years. It didn't end well because we were both young and immature, but I never regretted it.

With DH on our wedding night-I was 24 and he was 25.  It was his first time too.  He was super sweet and patient, but it still hurt like crazy.  That didn't last long though, it got pretty amazing fast and it still is.  DH knows what he's doing.

I was 18 and it was my first bf since freshmen year in HS. We both went to different HS and ended up cutting class . It was end of May, on my bday & before our graduation. We were at his house, his room. Hurt like hell.. Bled like crazy.. But he did take it easy on me. Felt really good though "> afterwards, he led me to the bath to soak in before I had to go home. I was 19 with Dh in my dorm room. We had only been dating a few weeks and things got heated really fast. Before this I had only kissed 1 guy. For about a week before we were fooling around and each time taking a little more off. He started rubbing against and partly entering but I was naive and didn't realize how far we were actually going. Finally I told him to go all the way.
