Trying to Get Pregnant

Cramps w/o AF

For the past 6-7 days or so, I have had a faint cramping. Not strong, not light. When it first began, I expected it was "that time" for me, and I would have started by the next morning. (that's the usual for me when cramps begin) but AF never came. I don't track my cycle. I don't know when I had my last period, but it's been about a few weeks ago. I took a dollar store test last Sunday, neg. I took another dollar store test yesterday, neg. I am sort of going crazy. I have a VERY faint pulling sensation in my breasts and these light cramps and that's it. I have never cramped without AF starting immediately after. I'm confused. Anyone have anything similar go on? Were you pregnant? Is it possible that it is just too early to pick up on a test? I guess we would be classified under "NTNP" as we use the pull out method.

Trust the tests. It sounds like you're not quite sure about much of your cycle so it could be too early, but if the test says negative you're not pregnant at this time.

Wait a week and test again. If you hit CD 60 without AF call your doc.

I believe the statement "if you're pregnant enough for symptoms, you're pregnant enough to turn a test" is also applicable here. Good luck to you.

Thanks all. I consider the pull out method not trying at all as well, but in the past I have had people jump onto me saying that the pull out method is not considered a form of birth control, it's not effective, etc.

  • I normally wouldn't be concerned at all, but the last time I had cramping not accompanying a period, I was pregnant with my son (Now 21 months) and it has not happened since.
  • Why did you delete your post?

That's because they don't know what they're talking about. If used incorrectly it's not effective, but what form of birth control can you use incorrectly and still have it be effective?

Yep, when done correctly, pulling out is very effective. If you have been using this method correctly, I think the chances are slim that you're pregnant.

Also, you can cramp at any time. I randomly get cramps all throughout my cycle. I'm having them now. They aren't severe, but they are there. I wouldn't put much stock in the presence of cramps as a pregnancy indicator.
  • Because my question was answered and I guess I am just overthinking. No reason for anyone to keep posting on it now. It appears you can't delete the post so I just deleted the question. Thanks again.
  • I don't see any reason to delete the post. Nothing mean or offensive was said. That was the fastest delete to the tamest, no snark conversation.

Total jerk move. What the hell is the point in deleting it? I assume by doing so you're just telling people that you are requesting no one waste their time replying to your threads in the future?

  • I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to upset anyone. I am new here...clearly. I will re-edit the post how it was and leave it alone in case my question could help someone. Do not worry about my posting in the future....
