Nothing new...just buying outfits. I need to work on the OS Stash. I'm pretty proud of myself for making cloth wipes though and I plan to make a wipes solution and have been pondering making my own detergent.
29 weeks and 4 days along and gaining weight like crazy. DS had his sibling class and he really enjoyed it. He learned how to swaddle and change a baby and he toured a postpartum room and saw some newborns at the nursery. When we discussed the class later i asked where we put the baby after she's born and he said "I don't know the lab?" When we corrected him and told him that's the nursery he laughed and said "oh I thought it was a baby lab." He's gotten into "hugging" her and talking to her as well.
She's a mover and a shaker. My mom pointed out that she's really sensitive since FI poked me and she started kicking and moving a lot.
I'm still here... Everything still looks good. They have me penciled in for an induction on my due date. I'm hoping to stall them if it doesn't look like my body is prepping at all though. Got the pack n play set up as well as her cosleeper and rearranged our room to fit the rocking chair and a changing table. Basically, we could bring her home and not be scrambling at this point
QOTW: The swelling! I can handle the horrible terrible all day heartburn, but I'm so over waking up to numb hands. Also, by the end of the day, my feet are KILLING me and feel like they might explode.
I'm over being pregnant. My back hurts again after our little roadtrip this weekend.
We just got DS an awesome toddler bed that's handmade. But now we need a thinner mattress to fit it, or a rail for it. His current mattress (which we need for the crib anyways), is 6" thick, and makes the little rails on his bed pretty useless. Anyone have experience with the IKEA mattresses? It's hard to find a 3 or 4 inch mattress it seems like.
I think the NB stash is just about "done", unless I just get more stuff. But I want to get another half dozen FST or flats.
Omg SAK I hope you're ok! I'm praying for you honey. I'm in the in between stage of looking fat and looking pregnant. Blah QOTW: nothing awful right now but with Harper I had horrible sciatica. I walked like an old woman
SAK, fingers crossed that everything is alright and that you just get to kick back and enjoy the silence.
Just plugging away here. I am very visibly pregnant, and I've been out in public a lot lately, so I'm sure the people I know have their suspicions (especially since it's too hot to try to hide my bump at all) but no one has said anything yet. We'll be announcing after our anatomy scan, but I wish I could just keep it a secret forever haha.
I'm excited because I just ordered some fabric to make myself a few extra summer maternity clothes, so hopefully I get the chance to finish before I pop out this baby.
QOTW: I feel like my answer to this should be the HG, but it's definitely the exhaustion combined with insomnia. I'm so useless right now, and it's definitely affecting my state of mind negatively.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
My nb stash was already done, but now it's REALLY done after adding the 4 more covers I got for a steal at that yard sale.
I think I maaaaybe found a name I like. But I am afraid that its so-bad-it's-cute kinda deal because it is totally an old man name. We don't tell names before birth so I can't get opinions IRL, but you guys don't count because you are just imaginary friends, right?
QOTW: I would say that the worst is joint pain/looseness. I am only 22 weeks and I am already starting to feel like I am 90 years old. But if you had asked a few weeks ago I totally would have said the exhaustion.
Thanks for the good thoughts, guys. Everything is fine. I had only been able to get him to move 3 times in about 36 hours, so they sent me for a NST to check up on things. Of course as soon as I got in the hospital bed the kid went crazy. I always feel so dumb when stuff like that happens.
In other pregnancy news, I finally met with one of the new OBs taking over at my practice (she'll be the one doing the rcs) and she sees no reason that they have to do it at 37 weeks and is rescheduling me for 39, so that was a relief.
We got so much accomplished yesterday! I'm not sure if im nesting or if I was taking advantage of having two helpers, but I was one happy (and super sore) mamma! My husband and brother helped me organize our back porch storage area, hung the light and the two bikes, moved more stuff out there, moved the treadmill to the neighbors garage from Logan's room, rearranged Logan's room so he could sleep on his mattress instead of in the crib, organized Logan's toys, made a super tasty dinner and cleaned a bunch and did loads of laundry.
My sciatica and SPD were super bad last night, but it was worth it. That is one thing I would love to get rid of. I would feel practically normal without it.
I actually kinda have a little crush on the name Walter. I love "old man" names on little boys. I'd be unlikely to ever use it, but I once had a little Wally in my preK class and I loved him, so I have very fond feelings for the name.
I think my reservation is the in between stage. I think old man names are cute for little boys and obviously grown men, but I can't seem to picture a teenager with that name.
Glad to hear all is well, SAK!
The name is Walter.

I went to high school with a Wally (who I believe now goes fully by Walter), and in college dated a Walter. Never seemed weird.

@SecretAgentKate for having such an extensive SS, you sure get a lot of information wrong. Walter is actually my husband's name. I would tell you why I call him J, but that's a kinky topic for a whole other thread than this.

I want to AW because I'm excited. J and I both just felt Katniss kick for the first time from outside my belly. A and my nieces both tried, but weren't able to feel yet.
Although, A has felt Katniss when she's rolled. I swear, this kid is so incredibly active it's ridiculous.

I'm 31 weeks now. Everything has been going smooth. We assembled our crib last week. Our washing machine broke so we got a new one yesterday based off a recommendation from the boards. It was affordable and has the options to use a lot of water or an 'he' like cycle.
One symptom I would gladly not have is sciatic nerve pain. I have an appointment with a new chiropractor today. Hopefully she can help me.

Not pregnant, just lurking, but we have Ikea mattresses, including a 3 inch one for LO, and we love them! For being so thin, they are still firm and comfortable.
Late to the party, but still pregnant! I'm at 34 + 5. My doc thinks I may go early this time. (I think she said the same thing last time, though.) This time I'm having contractions like crazy (painful and regular, but then they go away), so maybe she's right. I haven't bought or made any fluff lately. I started working on a prefitted and realized I cut it way too close to the middle section. I'm not sure how to salvage it, so I kind of gave it up for a little while so I can finish other projects. We finally got the nursery put together, and I've just about talked myself into buying a co-sleeper in the hopes that it will mean I get more sleep this time and have an easier time with BFing (versus using the PNP or a bassinet).
QOTW: Most of my symptoms this time have been fairly tolerable. I do have an incredibly uncomfortable rash, but I think the meds they have me on this time are finally clearing it up.

No "new" fluff, but 2 successful swaps, so some new to me stuff that I'm enjoying.
We're (well, my contractor at least is) pushing through a few more weeks of renovation, then I can finally start to nest and set stuff up.
I'd just really like to have my core muscles and mobility back. It's so hard to get down on the ground to play with DS.

Yay for great news all around!
