Ektorp and Ikea White...

Anybody have this sofa in white? Is it actually white? I am trying to match a Crate and Barrel white slipcovered sofa but sometimes Ikea's white is off...

We were just there looking at that exact couch a few weeks ago.  I think there are 2 different whites available - the Blekinge White and the Stenasa White.  We were leaning towards the Blekinge and it is slightly off, not a pure white.  Neither of their "white" options are a stark white.  It reminds me of the white of the Hemnes collection, if you are familiar with that.  So definitely not the an ivory, but not a true white either.  Hope that helps!

That does help. I think if we go with that, I'll probably end up ordering a pure white cover from Bemz.

Oooh, I don't think that I am familiar with that site.  Do they have a lot of options?  We were also looking at the coordinating Ektorp chairs, but I want something other than white and am not a fan of IKEA's other options, especially prints.

I have the ektorp chair in the babies nursery in white and it is absolutely white. I love it. And in my option it is a true white that matches perfectly next to the white crib

I have 2 Ektorps are they are definitely white after your wash them. We have two Jennylund chairs too and they hardly ever get used so I think I've washed them once in the last year. They aren't as stark white as the Ektorps right now, but they definitely wash up to be stark white!
