We've been up for about 30-ish minutes. DS went to bed about an hour late last night, but still only slept until 6:15. I guess I'm just glad he didn't wake up at 5:30 like he has been. 

I need to go back to the store today and get some things I forgot. I don't want to because I'm broke

I hate this new 7 O'clock wake up. Then he wants to nap at 10 when I'm finally awake enough to do something

@ShakeyJakey - that drives me crazy, too. I miss the tinier baby days when his morning nap was 30 min - 1 hr after waking up.

I just sang Ba-Ba Black Sheep to DS and he applauded me at the end. Good kid.

DS1 and DH just left for a day sail with IL's. DS2 and I will go shopping later and hang by the pool.

We had a good dinner out last night. So glad we walked 4 Miles beforehand, cuz I ate all the things. Today, we are running errands and walking some more. Some cleaning and laundry too I think.

I'm just glad my cord stump story wasn't the worst. 
Nothing going on today. I'll probably watch Netflix and eat junk food.
We're watching Bones and House right now. I love how they swap actors so often! 
I'm all like, "OMG that kid on the plane is Booth's son!1!" ...makes me feel smart.

We slept till 830 so I'm happy. No plans today for once. I'm sure he will want to go.see his mom today I want to, buT I hate taking DD up there. Plus our next 3 weekends are packed.

DD slept till 9:07 yesterday - a goddam record. Today she was up at 5:30. "Wake up, mommy, it's morning time!" Arrrrg!!!

Today we're headed to Macy's to pick up some new ties for DH and then the pool in the afternoon. I need all the coffee.

Probably, but have the party today and I don't know what to do.  There will be other kids there, but not showing up to my own kids birthday party isn't really an option.


Since it's family (right) can you call them? Or your dh stay with him. That's a hard one.

We are moving out of state Tuesday so today is the last day to really spend time with anyone. Therefore, henceforthe we are having a huuuugeeee get together at my moms. Lots of drinks. Lots of food. Lots of games. Peddling the peddle boat on the lake. I'm pretty excited!!

Also a plus; my mom will watch DD for us tonight while DH and I go to the brewery to watch a band play. Oh and drink some wines.

Going to my BFFs house today for a BBQ/show off her new baby party. She's totally expecting people to bring her gifts for the baby (her 2nd son in 2 years) & is being very greedy about it all. I've been trying to ignore it & just focus on the BBQ/good times part but this morning she's sent me 3-4 text about how she hope ppl remember to bring her a gift & she hopes nobody gives her clothes & toys bc she has plenty of those & just wants gift cards & "cash would be great LOL". Now I'm kind of pissy & don't even want to go.

I don't know that I've ever discussed gifts I hope other people get for me, for any occasion, with another person. That is so weird.

I'm really excited to cook up some eggplant today. I've just recently begun to teach myself how to cook, so even normal stuff is all new and shiny to me.

DH has a list of yard and house projects that he procrastinated yesterday. He's on track to put them off again today. I'll call today a win if everyone eats dinner and I change the bed linens.

My flat of strawberries is also ordered for Wednesday pickup. I'm really excited about making jam later this week. The mason jars have been calling to me.

I'm going to the casino today. I need a break. I feel vaguely guilty for leaving DH alone with the girls the day after he ran his first marathon but if I spend one more weekend day doing housework and taking care of the girls, I am going to lose my shit.

DH and DD are still sleeping. I'm getting everything ready so we can drop DD off at MIL's house and head down to the ballgame! Beer! Garlic fries! Ice cream sundaes! Adult time! Baseball! Yay!!

It's a beautiful day outside and we're inside watching Finding Nemo. DS2 is napping and I can't find the energy for any other activities. I hate weekends that DH works both days.

We're having friends over for a BBQ later and they have a son DS1's age, so hopefully they just play with each other and let me relax.

I have a HUGE work project that has to been in by Friday, and then we're on vacation for a week, so I just have to push through!

@""Regal Mama"‌ hope your DS feels better soon! That's no fun at any time and it's awful that your party is today, too.

I need to get up and get ready and do something today but we just got back from being in Boston for 3 days and I'm way tired out.
We need to go grocery shopping. We ate everything so nothing would spoil while we were gone but now there's basically no food in the house except Ramen and English muffins.

We just ate some pancakes! Now DS is saying he wants to go to the zoo again, so I guess he had fun yesterday. But it's about to rain so the zoo is not an option. I'm sure he'll take that well.

Can I brag on DH? He won't ever let me brag in any other forum.  He has 2 of the top 5 most read stories on CBSSports right now! I'm really proud of him! Too bad his parents show about zero interest in this stuff. My mom gets excited for him at least!

DS is dancing around to Madonna.  I'm trying to think of fun things to do that keep him out of the sun....thinking I have to suck it up and just slather us both in sunscreen and go for it. 
Our neighbors (who he loves to play with) told him they would be home to play today but they also said they were going to a big event for her DH's work 1/2 way across the state.  DS is gonna be so upset when he sees his friends aren't home to play with.  :-(  I think today might be a good day to go out for ice cream.
