Cassidy - Boy or Girl Name?

So I know there is a name board but I was reading some of those and some people were just rude.  I like my IF boards where people are much more supportive!  We are team pink and one of our top runners in the name category is Cassidy Rose.  I honestly never thought of Cassidy as a male name until I saw it on another board.  When you hear the name Cassidy do you think boy or girl?  We are trying to keep our names a secret and not picking a final one until she's here so I appreciate your opinions!

Married: 6/4/2005Start TTC early 2012 May 2013: PCOS Diagnosis August 2013: Uterine Septum Removal November 2013: 1st round clomid, ovidrel trigger December 2013: 2nd round clomid, ovidrel trigger, BFP!!! August 2014: Baby girl arrives! February 2016: Ready for #2 May 2016: starting again with clomid, ovidrel trigger June 2016:  BFP!!! EDD: 2/21/16

    I also thought it was a girls name, but everyone is different. Do what you like and what's best for your family!

    People on the BNB are not rude. Opinionated and honest? Yeah. In my experience you will hear from them what most people think but just won't tell you which is something I would rather get from Internet strangers than having people think things behind my back. Also not agreeing with the OP opinion does not equal unsupportive. You can't ask for opinions and not expect to get answers you don't like. Not trying to go off on a tangent also note that people read multiple boards.

    Cassidy sounds feminine to me and on behindthename (a great baby name site) it has the name way more popular for girls than boys. It's NMS but i like it and love the middle name.

    @calindi I did think of Butch Cassidy but honestly I've never seen it and I figure by the time she's in school most of the kids won't of even heard or it but it is still definitely a possibility!

    The only Cassidy I know is a girl. I do think there is a difference between giving your opinion and being unnecessarily harsh. That being said, don't let a few people ruin a board for you. :) When I've posted on the name board I just took what I could from the constructive criticism and ignored the unhelpful comments.

    100% girl! I had a Cassidy in my class one year, and she was such a cutie pie and so sweet! :)

     Me (34)- no issues found MH (36)- MFI due to Vericocele. Straight to IVF w/ICSI 9/12, Antagonist. 9R, 7M, 5F = BFN c/p,  New RE for IVF #2- 1/13., Long Lupron. ER on 1/22 -10R, 9M, 9F. Transfer on hold due to overstimming. FET in Feb. 2 frozen blasts. Another BFN & another c/p. RPL testing all negative besides MTHFR gene, vericocle repair surgery 4/12/13-Bilateral Grade 3 Vericocele found & fixed, IVF #3 with PGS  4/13- 11R, 9M, 9F. Transferred 2 normal=BFN, 3 normal on ice. CCRM-here we come! ODWU-All test results normal. EPP in August. 21R, 20M, 19F. 12 blasts biopsied & frozen for CCS testing. Results showed 11 normal! FET Oct. 30. 2 5d 4AA blasts transferred. First ever BFP!!! Beta 1=216, Beta 2=870 1st U/S=It's TWINS!!! It's a BOY and a GIRL!! Everyone Welcome!!!

     08/2013 - Clomid 50 mg + HCG Trigger + IUI #2 = BFN

    09/2013 - Benched for lap & hysteroscopy (Stage II Endo Removed)

    10/2013 - Menopur + HCG Trigger + IUI #3 = BFN

    11/2013 - Menopur + HCG Trigger + IUI #4 = BFN

     12/2013 - Clomid + HCG Trigger + IUI #5 = BFN
