How do you feel about Owen?

Just starting TTC, and DH isn't ready to talk names just yet, but from the few boy names I've mentioned Owen is the only one he hasn't completely shut down. The more I think about it, the more I like it, but what about you? Like it, love it, hate it, bored by it, just meh??? Give me some feed back.

Side note: our LN is long, hard to spell and hard to pronounce, so we want short, simple, recognizable FN's.

I love Owen, it's one of my favorite boy names! I would use it if it didn't sound ridiculous with our last name.

I used to love it. We had chosen it for DS2 until I started hearing it all the time. It is really overdone in my area. I'm glad we went with something much less common (Pierce).

I love the suggestion of Ewan. Different without being *weird*

I use to love Owen, but it took a hit with how popular it got. If popularity doesn't bother you it's still a great name.

It is a really popular name in my area. I am tired of it personally. But it is a nice name that I did like a lot beofre the 4th one was born. haha.

I like Ewan also, but DHs best buddy is Evan so that's out.

Some other on my list are Eric, Wyatt, and Everett. I love Luke/Luca, but they're too sing-songy with our LN.

I have an Owen and we love it. However, now it's in the top 20 names so I'm really afraid he will be "Owen M" when he gets into school.

Owen has been on my list since I was 13. It's gotten ridiculously popular in my area (3 new Owen's from facebook friends just this year). If we use it it would be in the middle name spot...although I do love it with DD's name. We'll cross this bridge if we have a boy I guess haha.

It's ranked 38 nationally, 73 in my state, (not including all the variations of other names) so I'm not too worried about its popularity.
