I'm joining this check in for the first time. I had a growth ultrasound yesterday and he's breech. The midwife mentioned an ECV but when I met with my OB later (separate practice) he seemed to be against it.
My girl is still breech. I am 37 weeks today. Scheduled c section on June 18. Edd June 19
I am not doing the version. Hubby and I just don't feel comfortable. Your water could break, might not work, might go into labor, might have to go right to c section. Just not worth it to us. Or if it works she could flip back.
We also didn't try chiropractor or acupuncture or spinning babies.
We are kind of if she has been breech the entire pregnancy then maybe she is like that for a reason so if she turns she turns.
Have US next week and will also have one the day of section to see if she turned before doing section.
Can't wait to meet our little girl. She is being like mom since I was breech too. Lol
Good luck to everyone!!!!

@cas889, sorry to hear LO is breech, but there is still time for him/her to flip. I'd recommend doing your research on ECV's to determine if you're comfortable with the technique and discussing it more with your OB (they can determine if you would be a good candidate for the procedure).
There are several other things you can do that some women have success with- Spinning Babies exercises (spinningbabies.com), the Webster technique performed by a chiropractor, acupuncture, and moxibustion are a few that come to mind.
Our LO is still breech and has been for at least 3 months. I tried Spinning Babies, yoga, and Webster with no luck, and I'm not a candidate for an ECV due to an anterior placenta.
My scheduled c-section is a week from today- June 5th!!
I tried all the things: spinning babies, acupuncture, chiro and ECV. I would completely, 100% try the ECV again. My c-section is scheduled for next Thursday, June 5th.
My doula suggested just spending time (5-10 minutes) on my hands and knees each night, and when I went into my 37 week appointment today baby had flipped! Hopefully he/she (team green) stays that way! She had said that it isn't really a flipping technique, it just "encourages proper baby placement" or something like that. I'm just so excited it worked! Good luck everyone!
I don't know that all anterior placentas would be a disqualifier. My OB determines exact position of the placenta and fluid levels before making a decision on proceeding with ECV's.
