I think standardized test for kids are stupid. Yes it's EOG time at my school, but for god sakes if all kids are different, and were supposed to differentiate our instruction for them...why do they all take the same test?!!! End rant. Wish us luck today and tomorrow!
I agree standardized testing sucks. I hate it as a special ed teacher because even when I get kids to improve greatly from year to year, they still "fail". 60 pt. increase on a standardized test is crazy good, too bad you still fail though.
I hate it when people use Facebook as a journal. It's your fb so whatever but don't get pissy when people ask questions cause you put that shit out there!
I don't think it's necessary to bathe baby every day. I used to when he would slobber all over and get sticky in his neck fat but not anymore.
Gonna see if I can stir up some controversy today...

I guess I agree with the standardized testing bashing insofar as that it's used to punish schools. However, without the IGLU and PISA tests performed Europe-wide, Germany would have kept doing their thing and never noticed that they needed to change (and become more like Finland).
@muirmaid I do the and or and but thing on here even though I know it isn't correct. I wouldn't do it professionally. I do know how to write correctly most of the time
< has no idea how to write properly at all. Seriously, I have no grammar or spelling skills. Totally lost on me. My mother is so ashamed.
Your writing, grammar and spelling is just fine. Trust me.

@MrsGiantPenis when you put you baby in the boppy or whatever and then put a blanket or pillow on them and stick the bottle in their mouth with it propped by the pillow or blanket.
I'm going to get flamed for this. I can handle it...I think.
I don't like bottle propping.
Unless you have multiples. Then you gotta be propping bottles. (I double checked to make sure I didn't say popping bottles. But I suppose if you have multiples you probably wanna pop some bottles by the end of the day).

I am a twin & asked my mom. She says she would hold both in her lap or on the couch & hold the bottles. She looked horrified & asked, "what if the baby choked?!"
So at least one mom of multiples didn't bottle prop. I think it's better to hold.

I'm so with you on the stupid Facebook journal stuff.
My kid usually gets a bath every other day. Although that might change not that it's hot. He's kind of a sweaty kid.
My UO is fake flowers at weddings are tacky. I think it's especially tacky to have your bridesmaids buy $260 floor-length gowns and then have them carry fake flowers.
I think it depends on age for propping the bottle. If you nine month old refuses to hold his own bottle but can scurry away and roll and crawl then I don't really see an issue. He can get the bottle out of his mouth in an instant. If it's for a zero to six month old I see it as a problem.

Agree with the movie sentiment - they are too long. I usually watch them at home when I can be on the ipad or something at the same time.
My LO wouldn't take a bottle for about 8 months (from 2 months to last week) so I am just so friggin thrilled she is loving her bottle right now and I am free that I can't even weigh in clearly about the bottle propping debate. Every time I see the word bottle right now I get a little too excited.

Twins could be manageable, I was thinking more about when you have more babies than hands.
ETA and even if you are propping you should still be watching your babies and not be leaving them unattended with a bottle

Fake flowers are always tacky.
I saw wedding pictures done with paper flowers, I LOVED it.
Interesting. I was thinking more along the lines of silk flowers, like the ones at Michaels.

Really people? You can't just freak img hold the bottle for the kid for the 5-10 minutes it takes to feed them? Flame me, but I think that is lazy.
