40w apt - the lovely membrane sweep

Just had my 40 week apt. So glad I made DH come with.

My BP was a little elevated- not super high but on the boarder line.

Got hooked to the monitor and her heart beat looked fine but I only had one contraction and I didn't even feel it.

My midwife decide to check my cervix then- 1.5 cm, 80% effaced and her head is already at -1. So she swept my membranes. I literally was getting pushed off the back of the table, felt like I was going to loose my bowels and had instant hot flashes. I had to sit in the room and drink water for like 10 minutes before I could get up. That better help get things started!

Going back Friday afternoon and if BP is still high she'll send me to the hospital to be induced. At least the end is near!

Now I get to go to work for a few hours to tie up loose ends and be done!

Sorry for the long rant. First one of my friends group to be prego so they just don't understand
