PSA: Self-Talk

I've had this thread from PGAL bookmarked for some time because I knew I would need it again if I got pregnant.  Whether you've experienced a loss in the past or not, the worry of having a miscarriage can be pretty strong.  I've found it really helpful to repeat these sayings in my head.  I've copied them over from that thread and pasted them here, plus added a few of my own. 

Side note: Please do not post in that thread as it will bump it up.  Some of the ladies who had posted there have since miscarried and may be heartbroken for the reminder. TIA!

Today I am pregnant and I love my baby.

I am pregnant until someone tells me otherwise.

My past does not dictate my future. A previous m/c does not mean I will have another m/c.

Just because something sad is happening to another poster, does not mean it will happen to you. We all know m/c and complications are not contagious!

Hope does not make bad things happen" You cannot  jinx your pregnancy by creating a ticker, getting excited, or telling someone. Live in the positive!

There is nothing I can do to prevent a m/c from happening. Worrying yourself sick doesn't prevent a m/c. And if (God forbid) it were to happen again, I know I will survive

If there is going to be a time to grieve, there will be a time to grieve, but that time is not right now.

Thanks for this. I have had 2 very easy healthy uneventful pregnancies and I am convinced I can't be blessed enough to have a 3rd. This helps alot

Thanks for this. I've had a rough day today. Even though I've had 2 successes after an ectopic I always worry that something could go wrong.
