I been feeling heavy and having contractions but irregular .. I was hospitalized for 2 days May 10-11 when they told me I was 3cm dilated and 50% effaced .. My confusion is that today I received a letter from the first clinic where they did my first pregnancy test that came out positive that was in the summer time and in the letter it says that please give them a call that my due date is May 26 ... I don't go to that clinic anymore because I'm high risk so where I usually go they say my due date is June 26 but they not sure cause my first ultrasound was done when I was 27 weeks ..Can this be wrong June 26 even though my doctor told me my cervix is thin I won't make it to my due date .. Does this have happened to anyone ???? Now I'm so confuse

Sooo...you've been pregnant since last summer?

    :-?

  • @spittler2‌ Yeah I just received it today .. I'm going to that clinic to check and see the records that they have from the start of my pregnancy
  • I'm a high risk so in how first clinic I went to they couldn't keep seeing me cause they don't have a high risk team .. So after that I was confuse I wasn't gonna continue the pregnancy but then I decided to keep it when I really got my first ultrasound I was 27 week but now they confuse too
  • Yeah the first time I got checked was in August or September
  • You need to know one of these things to know your estimated due date:
    1) the date of your last period
    2) the date you ovulated
    3) the date you had intercourse that led to conception (you could at least use this to put yourself within 5 days of conception)

Or you could have had a dating ultrasound (which it sounds like you did not)

The easiest way to figure out your due date is your last period, and this is most likely what the first clinic you went to used to give you the may 26 date (if they didn't do an ultrasound).

Like PPs have said, if you got a positive pregnancy test prior to September, you would not be due in June.

*how many weeks far are you lady's ?
  • My grammar nazi side is about to have a conniption fit.
  • Why am I being judged for my spelling or grammar?? I just wanted some opinion or suggestions
  • But this is a birth club .. Not a place where you check grammar
  • But when we can't understand you then it becomes about grammar
  • If I'm writing like this is because I'm typing fast and don't really care about spelling I'm just a little worried about what's going on not knowing my actual due date

Because improper grammar and spelling makes it REALLY difficult to understand what you are trying to say. An occasional error is one thing, fingers slip on the keyboard, autocorrect takes over on mobile. I get that. But consistent spelling and grammar issues... it's hard to read through.

And it makes it really difficult to take you seriously.
  • Oh wow because I wrote confuse and not confused you can't understand me ??? .. This is unbelievable
  • Thanks for the comments !! =D>
  • I thought this was a place where pregnant women give there opinions on other women situation .. And not judge on spelling .. No English is not my first language .. After I put my kids to sleep I sit down to relax and read stories I was afraid to even post anything here .. And my first time actually posting something this is what I get ..

If you had posted in THE RIGHT SPOT as these lovely ladies so kindly pointed you to, your responses would have been different. But when we show you the right direction and you snark at us instead of heading that way, we can be some salty hoes. ;)

Don't blame us when you refused the help we offered.
  • I'm going to take wild guess and assume that your current doctor is probably right with the June date being that they have been seeing you for awhile now. But that doesn't necessarily mean I'm right. Just a guess.

The English teacher in me is DYING to pull out my red pen to help you see where your posts went awry.  Confuse was just the tip of the iceberg.

Same here.  I'd just use that nice yellow highlighter tool, though.

Personally I use a variety of pretty colours. Might as well make the kid enjoy being told where they went wrong.

DH doesn't understand why I buy a new set of colorful markers every year. Red just doesn't cut it for me.

All of this. OP, we'd be able to give you some insight if you could at least answer some of @ElTrain5‌'s questions instead of going off the rails about "lack of support".
  • ElTrain5 asked you already. If you could tell us when your last menstrual cycle was, when you think you may have conceived, or when you ovulated, we might be able to give a guess or narrow down approximately when you are due. However, it's hard to be supportive if we don't have any info. For now, the best advice has already been given. Talk to your doctor to clarify how they are determining your due date, or just wait for baby to come when he/she is ready. Best of luck to you.

  • Well, I'm not a grammar police by any means--but I do appreciate not having to re read posts for grammar issues so that I can understand the post. Other BMBs are much more snarky, these ladies are pretty tame I think!

My situation is kind of similar. This is what I am doing. My first EDD at my first clinic was 5/26 off of my LMP date of 8/19/13. I had a second ultrasound (girl was new, and they wanted to redo for some reason) and gave me a EDD of 6/11/14. I switched clinics, magically those records from the first appt are now lost, and they kept the EDD of 6/11/14.

With a diagnosis of GD, my OB has told me that he is measuring large (often by 2-3 weeks) since back in November. I've had a lot of ultrasounds, many more than usual due to his movement and uncooperativeness on the anatomy scan. They had to do that one 3 different times to get all of the shots because he wouldn't cooperate (just stubborn like me!). His "measuring large" puts him on date with the 5/26 EDD, but they don't have those records to confirm so they just know it from me telling them that appointment happened.

SO….short story. Baby will come when he is ready. I wish I could know which date he would be closer to, but that's the planner in me. I have two tickers because I wanted to see which one he would be closer to, as my own personal experience. Hang in there and discuss it with your doctor, but everyone else has already said that and given you good advice! If you know your LMP date, use it as an experiment like I am. It at least could make it more fun!

Be aware those, don't expect to go your first date because it will make you bummed waiting on your second date! :)

You don't remember what month you got your positive test? How about the date of your last period? I mean if you were checked in August and the first dr said you were pregnant then the specialist you're seeing really screwed up your due date. A due date of June 24th (mine) puts the date of conception as Oct 1st. So....something's not right.
A lottttt of somethings aren't right here

I'm dyslexic and my grammar is crap, dose this mean if I have a question I should bother posting because il get judged for not using correct spelling and grammar. I know she didn't give much detail but to be honest I think she was just trying to get her worries out. I have done this before come on hear or another board and asked a question knowing that obviously I'm going to ask the health professional myself anyway just to see if anyone has been through a similar situation before. Anyway it just goes to show that it only takes one person to make an uncalled for comment to set all the sheep off. Enjoy going through my comment with your highlighters and red pen
