TTC after 35

Sharp Pain 6dpiui

I woke up this morning with sharp shooting pains a tiny bit above my pelvic bone, slightly to the left of center. They lasted only a few seconds each but were really strong. I'm at 6dpiui so of course I'm overanalyzing everything and getting my hopes up. Someone bring me down to reality, please. Could the pain be related to the Clomid, Ovidrel or the progesterone? Or just a side effect of an IUI cycle in general?

I think I'm going to break down and POAS on Monday or Tuesday. I'll be at 11 or 12 dpiui at that point, which I know is probably too early, but the waiting is driving me crazy.

While it could be a good sign, it could also be nothing. I find I have a lot more cramps, including some sharp ones, with my IUI cycles. But, hang in there one more week. Fx you'll be looking back and saying that was implantation pain!

  • Gonna tell you two things;) could be implantation(most common day is 9 dpo) , other thing is corpus lutem cyst...produces progesterone until body knows if it's pregnant or not. That being said could be great sign your body is gearing up..so I would poas stick 11/12 days too! Good luck...hopefully it's your month!

  • Agree with pps that it's easy to fixate on every single twinge, tick, and gurgle that happens in the 2WW, but just because they don't all mean something doesn't mean that none of them do (if  you follow).  Hope this is the real thing--good luck!

  •  @Samuelismomma - I've never heard of a corpus luteum cyst before. I need to look that up. That and @CaraH mentioning more cramping during an IUI cycle does help bring me back to reality.

I am sooo hoping this is the real thing but I don't want to get my hopes up. The 2WW hasn't been too bad in the past but this one is killing me.
