Today's hubby and my 4 year anniversary and today I'm 35 weeks pregnant after trying for over half our marriage to have babies.

It's a big year of milestones for my family apparently, DS graduated last weekend, and is military bound this fall, DD has her last day of middle school today and starts high school in the fall and a new baby is due within the next couple of weeks. Talk about sibling dynamics!

Random question - What ever happened to Joules (some numbers) She lived in North or South Dakota and was a student I think. She used to post frequently and hasn't been on lately. Did she GBCB or something and I missed it since I'm not always on?

I made my pre- and post- labor granola bars yesterday! They are sooooo good. I have to make sure I don't touch them til labor bc they also make a great middle of the night snack when you are breast feeding and starving at 3am.

I am way too excited about these!

I also added a 1/2 cup of cacao nibs (they don't melt like chocolate) and 1/2 cup of dried goji berries, then increased the brown rice syrup but a 2 tbsp. This is my way of getting "superfoods" in there. Yum yum yum.

My OB says 10 kicks in 2 hours. If you aren't feeling much in a hour, make sure you are trying all tricks (sugary drink, being on left side, etc.) for the next hour.

10. Make sure that you are lying down focusing on only kicks and not doing something else. Drink a cold glass of juice before you lie down.

Thanks! Thankfully boss is out of the office so I'm on an extended lunch break, on the conference couch on my left side and I just chugged a sweet ice tea. Hopefully he gets going.

My OB said not to count bc it will drive you crazy. I'm 38 wks my lil man has nights he is less active and some more so as long as you feel him you are ok!

@elsa1688‌ my doc doesn't have me do kick counts, but I think the generalized feeling is 10 every 2 hours (from what I've heard). I've had periods where she's way less active than normal and my OB said its totally normal because they've now established nap and sleeping schedules and sometimes they have lazy days. She also said if I get worried to try to drink something cold and lay on my left side and if I'm still concerned to call them. But usually the cold drink makes her go crazy.

I had a dr appointment today - we were in the waiting room next to a woman with her 1-month old.  DH and I were both dying!  Babies!

Thanks ladies. He moved around enough that I don't need to call the midwife. I think he is probably just being lazy I made the mistake of reading a sad story on May and my anxiety has been through the roof the last week. Hopefully we just got a mellow baby.

Also, with all the babies that have been born lately and how close so many people are, I somehow seem to be/think/feel more pregnant than I am. I still have 5 weeks give or take a couple and seem to think this little tike will be flying out of me any day now. Although I'm thinking that some may disagree with the term "flying out" because from what I understand that is not the most accurate depiction of how it actually happens...

@charsamm I'm with you! I have a false sense of any day now as well. We'll be there soon enough through!

I went to the doctor today as having increased vaginal pain and my 30 hour labor highered my chances for infection. I have endometritis and it's very painful. She had to do a uterine feel which was not pleasant.
Also not pleasant, knowing my baby is getting a circumcision done in 15 minutes. Huge sad face!

MIL got very very sick while out of town and is in the hospital. She's totally unresponsive and they think she may have a brain infection.  It's pretty scary.  DH flew there this morning, halfway across the country.  I feel so bad for him, I know he is stressed about his mom and also worried that I might go into labor while he is gone. It's just a really crappy situation and I am worried about his mom.

@snuff9861‌ we went to nc with C when she was two months old. We used the PnP that the hotel had and it was fine. We did bring our own sheets just in case, but the ones they provided would have been fine. They had obviously been freshly laundered and came in a nice little bag. I'd GI with whatever is easier. No extra worries about SIDS because a PNP has mesh sides everywhere.

My husband is quitting World of Warcraft :-D.  Of his own accord.  Partly because he's swamped with work, will soon be swamped with toddler/baby, and it's beginning to feel like an obligation...and partly because it's $15 a month that we just don't have right now.  I'm so fucking excited!  I know it doesn't mean forever, he's quit twice before and gone back, but generally it lasts about a year and that's huge.  I literally smile every time I think about it.
