so maybe I need to stop bumping before I go to sleep. I had a dream our BMB all moved into a big dorm and referred to each other by our usernames instead of real names. we all set up our rooms like nurseries for when the babies came and we all lived happily ever after. it was pretty magical.
BFP #1 May 2010! mc @11weeks blighted ovum, natural mc.

@stephross88 - I need to stop bumping before bed, too. The last two nights, when I wake myself up gagging from acid reflux, I find myself half-dreaming about any of our bumpies who were in L&D the day before. It's really kind of weird.
This is more like a FFWC but I started doing selective love its in HDBD for SN that I know and recognize. Is it me or is there an uptick of posts by newbs who don't post anywhere else?
Random thought - I'm about as mentally prepared for this baby as I think I can be.
However, my job is apparently in complete denial. they keep talking to me and giving me things to do like I don't only have 15 working days left until my leave starts... assuming I don't go earlier. It's hysterical.
Brookerose978- Your son is too cute. I love the story.
MissBHaven1024- You're in my prayers. I'm sure you'll have a great birth story.
We got our car seats checked last night. I bought the Britax Chaperone and it looks like my passenger seat will always be a little cramped. It's huge! Plus, it won't lay flat in on the middle seat. I felt like a complete idiot when the lady started showing me how the baby goes in the seat. Apparently, we've progressed way past clicking a seatbelt.
Ok, I have a feeling @StrawberryDreams219 will be able to help me with this, but I'll appreciate any and all feedback!
In July we are going camping on a lake for 4 or 5 days. LO will be at least a month old at the time, I don't want to use chemical laden bug sprays and sunscreens on her. Any recommendations for natural bug repellents and sunscreens for babies? And any tips for camping/traveling (the drive is about 4 hours) with a one month old?
I think on a baby that young I would just skip the spray and the sunscreen all together. I would get some long sleeve long pants UPF outfits. A good sun hat as we'll. Do you guys have one of those screen tents? If it's super buggy out that would be helpful. Smoky campfires will also help keep the bugs away.
The only store bought sunscreen I would buy would be the badger brand. It uses non micron zinc as the sunscreen instead of those weird sunscreen chemicals and of course it is paraben free. I make my own with pretty much the same ingredients but it's way less expensive. If you are interested i can give you the recipe. Even the mosquito repellent I make I wouldn't put on such a young baby. It has a lot of essential oils in it and might irritate sensitive baby skin.
Thanks! I'm a FTM so have zero idea of what to do with a baby while camping lol. I do live in an area where there are a ton of Mosquitos anyway, so DH and I know what to do about them for us, but not a baby. We've got hats and lightweight long sleeved/ long pants onesies that I plan on bringing with us, I don't know if my parents are bringing their screened in tent for outside around the eating area, but we'll be staying in their camper at night. I'll gladly take the recipes you use for when she's older though! (Because this definitely won't be her last camping trip)
if anyone is still needing name inspiration, my mom just brought home the yearbook from her elementary school she works at. just let me know if you have any preferences as to number of apostrophes used and/or phonetic spellings. also, there is an abundance of inspirational type names to choose from. I have one boy/girl twin set up for grabs as well
So I was over on the July BMB board and they have started a Troll Tuesday thread, always entertaining as you can imagine. Our pineapple thread got a nice shout out, but I had to share this in case anyone was bored:
"So a day late, but this mess had to be added. OP and her AE's have already felt the wrath of the ban hammer, but still a fun read.
Does anyone know what actually causes your water to break when it breaks on its own? For some reason I can't find an answer to this question and I'm really curious.
You know those little spikey hairs on pineapples....?

For me, I'm 99% sure it was me trying to poop out the TB I had eaten earlier in the day.

Heart burn has been effing terrible! To the point where I'm afraid to eat anything. Also I've had diarrhea for two days..... Seriously is this almost over?

I'm scared to ask...what is "TB"? That must have been one hell of a poop.

Random Q: we live on the top floor of a secure building. Right outside our door is a staircase that leads up to our rooftop deck. DF thinks we should be able to take the monitor with us and baby can safely sleep in his crib. The physical distance would not be greater than if you had a two story house and you were on a different floor than the child. In practice though, you would have a locked door between you and it seems like it could be sketchy. Any opinions?

I've heard that there is a theory it often happens from having an infection, especially those whose break too early.
For some people, yes. They treated both me and DS immediately in the hospital just in case, but it turned out neither of us had an infection.
I just drank SPOILED MILK!! I was having a cookie and I poured a glass from a carton I just opened, expiration not til June! I have allergies so my sense of smell is not great. Well I started chugging it bc I was thirsty and half glass down noticed the AWFUL sour taste!!! Yuck!!!! Asked DH he smelled it and said it smells really sour and dumped it out and there were chunks! 30 min later I'm dying on the toilet! Do I need to worry about the baby being exposed to bacteria? It was pasteurized but had gone bad probably stored at hot temperature! Any idea? Should I call to ask? Ugh I'm so mad!

If you are in the bathroom non-stop, I might call your doctor just because it could cause you to get extremely dehydrated. Not what you want while pregnant. I have no experience, but I do want to say how sorry I am because I love milk and that is just so freaking wrong. I think it might deter me from drinking milk for a long time!

I can't resist...
But in all seriousness I would call your doctor's after hours line and see what they say if you are really concerned.
Lol at the gifs!!! Man but seriously I even paid up for organic milk so it pisses me off it was spoiled!!! I drank a BUNCH of water to try to stay hydrated and finally got out of the bathroom and hoping it's over! Man that was awful to say the least! Thanks for your replies if it picks back up I'm definitively gona call! And now I'm afraid to drink milk!!! :-S
@BabyCurtiss2014 - Glad you are feeling better. I would try to take it back and tell them it was spoiled! Especially considering the date on it is for June.

Taco Bell?
^wss, that's my guess too.
Oh...yes. Taco Bell. I was eating everything spicy at 5 days past due.
H just gave me the most wonderful foot rub. He used a sugar scrub followed by really good lotion. My poor foot are so dry and swollen; it was pure heaven. I love that man.

Baby #1: expected June 2014
@mrsdbc - that's exactly what I was coming in here to say!
@stephross88- who needs baby names? Certainly not DH & I! (that's right, still no name!)
Names are totally overrated.
For me, I'm 99% sure it was me trying to poop out the TB I had eaten earlier in the day.
