This weekly check-in is for 3T regulars to fill us in on their IVF cycle.
If you'd like to join please provide the following...

QOTW:  I'm learning this whole process is full of waiting, so what do you like to do to make the time pass quickly?

1. Where are you in the IVF process (prepping, stimming, ER/ET date, etc)  I'm go friday for an Us and hopefully will be getting off bcp and ordering all my meds

2. What cycle? IVF #1 ICSI with PDG

 
3. Test/beta day? Not until August

QOTW:  I like doing DIY projects but my funding is low so I may do some little projects for some friends.  I also like running it's my therapy.

2. What cycle?  1st

3. Test/beta day? This Saturday.  I'm beta or bust.  I've had no symptoms really to speak of that can't be explained away.  Really starting to prepare for what to do if it's negative.  Everything was so textbook with this cycle and implanted 2 hatching blasts, so researching RIs in case my RE won't do a work up for NK cells, MTHFR, etc.

QOTW:  I'm learning this whole process is full of waiting, so what do you like to do to make the time pass quickly?  I need to know the answers from you lovely ladies!  I feel like the doctors don't want you to so anything after your ET so it's hard.  I would usually make dates with girlfriends, but then I'd have to explain why I'm not drinking so I'm usually just a hermit.  Maybe I'll hit up the movies a few nights this week.

Good luck @adadert I cant imagine going Beta or bust, you must have some strong willpower.

I'm wondering what my RE is going to let me do as for as exercise, I just assumed it would be the same as my medicated cycles.  He told me I could run last medicated cycle until it got painful which was about 6 days into stimming when I had 19 follicles growing and I've never been told not to exercise during the 2ww.  I usually have to dial it down during the 2ww too because the progesterone makes my boobs hurt so bad I can't run.  I guess I need to prepare myself that I'm going to be told not to do anything.

CD4, started Puregon and Lupron today

2. What cycle? IVF#1

3. Test/beta day?  Not sure, guessing ER will be early to mid next week.

QOTW:  I'm learning this whole process is full of waiting, so what do you like to do to make the time pass quickly?  Hanging out with my H and our pup, and if I'm being honest, Netflix!

@PintoBean39, my RE said day of ET to go home and watch movies on the couch.  I was allowed to go to work the next day but told to take it easy.  She said I could be back to normal after that, but no exercising, just walking and light housework.  They did say I could have 1-2 alcoholic beverages a week and 1 cup of coffee a day but I am abstaining just in case.

I don't have much of an update today. Our IVF consult is tomorrow. It is all that I can think about. We got our loan money yesterday, so financially, we are ready. I will certainly update tomorrow with how things went.

I did have spotting/light bleeding from CD 19-22. It wasn't enough to consider "full flow" so I didn't bother calling the office. This happened with my last cancelled cycle as well. I'm asking tomorrow what I can do if AF doesn't appear by the weekend. In January I wanted until CD 37 before I asked for Provera...not waiting this time. I want to get this show on the road.

QOTW: I could also benefit from seeing the responses of others. I am already obsessing over IVF. I did set up a therapy appointment for June 9th, so maybe that will help. I am a licensed Social Worker, so you'd think I would have this under control. HA! Not true .

@jaytee16  WOW seems so soon for ER next week.  I can't believe you are already here, doesn't seem like that long ago we were discussing our next step was going to be IVF.  I'm excited for you!

@adadeart it looks like I may need to find some good movies to watch on Netflix just in case.  I imagine since I'm not doing ET until some time in August they may let me return back to normal activity as soon as I start feel better.  Not sure yet how long it's going to take for those ovaries to shrink.  I think my last medicated cycle it took me almost a week.  

@stacylh24 Good luck tomorrow!  I'll be waiting on an update.

Hello!  I am prepping for IVF 1.2 (second try, since the first time we converted to IUI) and will start stims next Tuesday.  Very nervous this time after the poor response I had last time, but I'm ready to get going.

I'll have ER mid-June, but it's a freeze all so lord knows at this point when Beta would be.  I'll be in IVF limbo for a while.

@gsancho I'm going to be right there with you. The plan is to start stims 5-27 and were freezing all too because were doing PDG. Good luck!

I'm starting BCP today for my first IVF with ICSI cycle! Hopefully we will know in the upcoming weeks when my test/beta days will be, but I'm thinking my ER will be in late June with ET and beta in July maybe??

I'm very curious how it will all play out with the 4th thrown in there too. Hopefully I can start sooner than later

QOTD: I still have to find something to help pass the time, maybe I should start making my summer bucket list soon!

We have decided to go with embryo adoption. I have applied with several different places, so hopefully we will hear back from at least one of them soon. Transfer would probably be in August or September, so we are going to be in limbo for a while. I applied to a place in Florida and I am kind of hoping we get to go there. I might get a vacation out of this whole deal!

I'm not sure if I should still post here or not since we decided against ivf. I might get up the courage to move to third party reproduction one of these days.

Pintobean39!  Can I be added to this check-in!?

Because of cysts, I skipped my "natural" break cycle and went on BCP.  DH and I are going in for a follow-up/IVF Consult in 2 weeks, and I am hoping that we can just move from this 2-3 weeks of BCP right to stimming.  

If that goes as planned, we will be stimming in the beginning of June and ET will be mid-late June.

We were initially planning to do a break cycle before going on BCP, but with the cysts I decided to go straight to BCP instead of waiting around.  I'm just ready to move on!

@gsancho -- GL with this next round!  I'll be keeping my FX for you for a much better response!!

@PurpleDaisy923‌ That sounds like a plan in Florida. What part of Florida? Hopefully on the beach. I'm actually putting my IVF on my credit card so I can get points and were using them to go to Destin in July.

Hi ladies! I started stims on Monday, and have my first u/s on Friday to see how things are going. I did injects before this, so it's really not too different for me so far.

QOTW: ummm I make countdowns on my phone (I currently have one for "days till trigger," "days till ER" and "days till ET"). Having the countdowns lets me look at something every morning and feel like I'm making progress... it's the little things, haha. I also clean the house a lot and binge watch Netflix with my husband.

Hello ladies! Today was day 2 of stims for ivf/ICSI #1. I have my first u/s Friday morning, and I'm curious to see how I'll respond since I haven't don't injects in the past.

QOTW: I craft and read. I have a little shop on Etsy that I'll make things for and I've been working on our garden/flower beds a lot lately.

@Pintobean39‌ Can I be added to this group? I'm waiting to start BCPs for IVF #1! I hopefully AF will arrive within the next week so I can start! That should probably put ER/ET the 1st week of July! I'm so excited and nervous to get started.

@KT416 if AF shows up soon for me, we might be cycling around the same time!

I have my consult this afternoon and I really hoping that nothing is going to pushed back.  Yesterday was CD1 and I went for bloodwork and an ultrasound this morning.  I still have a small cyst, but I was told it is nothing to be concerned with.  I am really hoping that I an still good for go on my IVF at the end of June as originally scheduled.

Okie dokes....we have the beginnings of a plan.

I had a blood draw for progesterone today to see where I'm at in my cycle. CD 1 should be about Monday, but I had 4 days of spotting last week. If CD 1 does come soon, I will start BCP and get all of the necessary testing done and move forward with stimming. I won't be using Lupron or PIO shots. That eases my anxiety a lot.

He said potentially ER would be the first week of July. We are out of town July 10-11, so we are going to have to plan around that.

Now I just wait for CD 1.

I am in the processing of priming for my 1st IVF cycle.  I am currently on BCP and should be starting my stims about June 13th or so. The nurse estimates a possible ER date of June 24th then the 3dt and beta starting 10 days after.

Just an AW moment here: I'm off the bench and cleared to cycle!! 2 cysts disappeared and the other 2 are small enough to go forward since estrogen was good!! So I'm starting lupron tonight yay!!

@Mozzarella13‌ how big is your small cyst? That's awesome that's your off the bench.


I went to the Dr today of course I have one that's 10x9mm and my RE said to continue bcp until Tuesday and as long as it doesn't get bigger I can continue with IVF. Of course I wanted to cry when I saw the cyst and it worries me starting a cycle even with a small one.

@Pintobean39‌ I think it was a 12 or 13? Having done this cyst business twice now, I'm thinking you will be good to go this week!! FX for Tuesday!!
ETA: just for clarity, my cysts both times have been hemorrhagic, so they are more like a bruise that sticks around and doesn't produce hormones. My estrogen was 11, so that helped RE to decide to go forward. RE thinks I may have been over-suppressed for IVF#1 since I was on bcps for so long before cycling (approx 2 mos of bcps for cyst) so I think that also encouraged him to press forward!
