XP: I broke down and POAS...***bfp warning*** UPDATED WITH BETA

So we are in SF for last day of vacation w in-laws.... They left this morning so now we are on our own. We were talking at breakfast and decided to POAS after all so stopped by a Walgreens. 

Funny side story - DH asked which one I thought was best...told him since I have never had bfp I couldn't answer that! 

Anyhow back at hotel room we looked at it at the same time...and it said yes with a plus sign!!!! No mistaking that! Still very cautious since beta is Tues and it could turn out to be chemical but we have never gotten a bfp on a hpt before so we are psyched. Will keep you posted.

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    CFNBC 7 months, not doing well; decided on guarantee program at RBA w/frozen DE
    DE IVF #3 1/14  ET 4BB; BFP;M/C 5w1d, incomplete m/c; MVA extraction in ER 7w1d

    DE FET#1 ET 3/1714; BFP, beta 1 3/27= 197, beta 2 3/31= 1586, beta 3 4/7= 13879!!
    First u/s= Twins with HBs at 6w2d! We are Team Pink x 2!!

    yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats
    TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.  
    Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
    I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.  
    July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal 
    DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes.  Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube.  If that doesn't help then move to IVF. 
    Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help.  Doubts I have endometriosis.  My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!) 
    Seriously considering IVF in March/April
    12/17/14 - Natural BFP!

    **** siggy warning - bfp & loss ****   ---- All Welcome ---

    Me: 44 - Hashimoto's (under control), DH: 38 - (minor issues)

    IUIs: 2 in 2012 ... Both BFN
    IVF #1: 10/16/13 ... BFP, however it was not viable and ended in an early loss at 7weeks.
    IVF #2: Feb '14 ... Cancelled. Positive beta at baseline appt, became very early loss.
    IVF #2: Apr '    14 ... Retrieval Only. 2 embryos made it to day 3 freeze & will be batched with IVF #3 for PGD testing.
    IVF #3: June '14     ...     Retrieval Only. 4 embryos growing, all arrested before day 5. Two from April thawed, but also arrested.
    Currently benched while determining how to proceed.

    Me 38 DH 40
    TTC since Dec 2010.
    Diagnosed anovulatory, HSG clear. Slight MFI- borderline count, but excellent motility and morphology 
    Nov. 12- Feb.13 Gonal F + Ovidrel + IUI = BFN
    Lap April 13. Found blocked tube and bridged fimbria. Opened tube and cut fimbria. All clear 
    June 13  Gonal F+ Pregnyl +IUI = BFN Stopped treatment with RE due to side effects from drugs and told we needed IVF.
    Oct. 13 started Accupuncture and Chinese herbs- being monitored by RE. Getting better response- e2 and follie size. 
    Now RE says TI till March, then IUI. Fingers crossed,

    Just back home from the airport and reading these while we wait for dinner to arrive (late, I know but DH was hungry and I am too!).  You ladies are all the best!  Your kind and heartfelt congratulations mean so much.

    I am of course now worrying we got a defective stick since it still is showing 'YES+'...of course I am going to 2nd guess until it is confirmed.

    URMySunshine77 - ha - that would have been awesome!  We were in Napa until Sat (and shipped 20 bottles of wine back home... guess those will sit for a while! I only took a few sips from DH during tastings)... and then in SF starting Sat pm... stayed right near where the Bay to Breakers race started so saw lots of crazy costumes.

    I've had to accompany DH to wine country while he wine tasted about three times recently. Very disappointing, but I just tried to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere.

    You were here on a busy day in SF! I'm glad that it was pretty for you. Safe travels.

    Sono- TWINS!!!!
    Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks.  Healthy and no NICU!  So blessed!

    Awesome Blossoms!  I was just thinking we were due for some BFPs soon.  Glad you had a great trip and got to end it with such exciting news.  Hopefully this is the first of many for us ladies.

    Thank you @lcwedURMySunshine77JimBobCooter for the happy and dancing (and happy dance) GIFs!  They make me smile and feel all giddy!

    I POAS again this morning to be sure the one yesterday wasn't defective (it is still saying positive - or the box is possibly defective!).  We used the First Response Gold Preg test... am a little tempted to go get a different brand but don't want to be the crazy lady....

    ksgsmu - GL today... and I am kicking myself right now for not having gotten a FRER / red-dye test... I realize now why everyone uses them - you can see if the line is light or dark!  Whereas I have NO idea!  (having only ever gotten negatives, it didn't hit me why I should get the FRER)

    I am SO tempted to go out and buy one now - but seeing as I should get a call by early afternoon, I feel like it would be a waste of $.
