The boob GTKY has me wondering

Would you consider having them lifted/re-inflated when you're done BFing your last child (assuming $ is no issue)?

  • After three kids they look like they need a refill. But it's not a priority for me since nobody sees my boobs and a good bra is really all I need.

DH and I've talked about this because of my fluctuating weight they are pretty low, so we had agreed after kid(s) I could reduce and lift!

My sister had a reduction at 18 and they grew back at least half of what was removed within a year or two. Such a bummer. But every little bit counts, right?

I have implants from 2001 that I am desperate to get replaced with smaller ones. They are not just sad looking, they are uncomfortable. Luckily I am able to BF, but as soon as we have our second baby and I'm all done with BF then its back to the plastic surgeon I go for new ones and a lift!! My boobs are super natural looking since I've had them so long. Natural like an 80 year old unfortunately!!

I would LOVE to get implants, but first would be something about the tummy if it doesn't completely come back. Im going to wait a year and if I still have all this extra skin from my giant twin belly, then I might get it fixed, depending on how much it costs. I don't think the DH will sign off on new boobs though, those might be too expensive, and I GUESS I could live without, but darn it I would love a lil cleavage!

  • Not even optional - boob work is a must for me post BFing. This was part of the deal I secured with SO before getting pregnant! :D
  • Yes it's definitely something I'll look in to once we are done having children. They are already naturally large and I would like to get a lift!

  • I guess I am weird and I like small boobs! If I could get them lifted to be as perky as they were pre baby I might consider it, but I don't really think it's for me.

  • Not for me, I am terrified of surgery so couldn't see myself willingly going in for something not medically necessary.

I pretty much just want them as full and in place as they were pre babies. Not sure that I'll actually pull the trigger though.

  • No, I wouldn't get my boobs done but after all these c/s's a need abd reconstruction. I have heard a tummy tuck is beneficial after c/s.

I said not for me because I am small chested so I don't have some of the problems bigger chested ladies have to deal with. I was an A cup prepregnancy and now am still barely a B I'd say so yeah...even at their saggiest they don't dip too far.

  • I never thought I would be the type to get work done but honestly, why not rock a hot body for a few extra years? I might go for it once we are done!

I also agree with many pp's that a tummy tuck would be more worth it to me, heh. :)

  • I'd rather have stomach work done but I could really benefit from a reduction and lift. I like the idea.

  • I didn't really have any problems with saggy breasts after DD. They went back to more or less the same, maybe ever so slightly larger. Not sure if I'll have that same luck after I'm done BFing/pumping for DS or not. Either way, I may have an augmentation and I may not. I haven't decided yet, but DH is supportive of it for obvious reasons. ;) I was fortunate enough that I have no use for a tummy tuck.

  • I started looking into a reduction just over 3 years ago because my left breast is a full cup size larger then my right. Super annoying for me but no one else notices because I hide it well. I didn't go through with it because I didn't want a reduction to affect breast feeding. What's nice is that it is partially covered by my provincial health care.
The plan is to finish having kids/breast feeding and then get a reduction/lift.

As far as breast implants go there are too many health risks and they have to be replaced about every 10 years, plus DH hates fake breasts, so whats the point (for me)? Mine are not big enough to warrant a reduction, and as far as a lift goes, I am optimistic that I wont need one. I have no idea what will happen to my breasts after breastfeeding, but I have good skin elasticity... I have no stretch marks anywhere from this pregnancy, my stomach is nearly completely shrunk back down and flat since delivering 3 weeks ago and the skin is pretty taut and firm. Hopefully my breasts will fair as well as my stomach has.

I have respect for others decisions though. I can't fault anyone for wanting to change or "fix" something if they are super unhappy about how pregnancy might have changed their body. Some people can make peace with it, others cannot, but everyone deserves to feel good about themselves, and its a personal thing, how we go about that.
  • I lost a lot of weight before getting pregnant and my boobs looked terrible and deflated, but they had really bounced back well before getting super huge again during pregnancy (with time and lots of upper body strength training). I'm hoping they can bounce back again if I have my second/last baby quickly, but I'm not getting any younger so who knows. I can't imagine paying for a lift at any point and I definitely can't imagine my husband endorsing it.
