Hi, all! 22 weeks today with a doctor's appointment tomorrow! So far, so good! Can't believe it's halfway over already! We started our registry. This whole thing is so surreal.

Hi- as of today I'm 14 weeks, so I think that I'm graduating to this check-in!  I'm having 1 baby, current due date is 11/4, and we're strongly leaning toward staying team green.

Looking forward to hanging out here for a while (hopefully) and getting to know you all!  My next appointment is this Friday, it's my last bi-weekly appointment with my OB, then I move to once/month which is kind of scary.  

QOTW- I liked lots, don't know if I had a favorite.  Maybe Mr Rogers Neighborhood?

Hi all, I'm 25 weeks today. Time seems like it is going faster now!  I have my OB appt tomorrow, and two prenatal interviews this week with two separate pediatric practices.  The rest of our nursery furniture (crib, dresser/changing table, and mattress) arrived yesterday.  The nursery is a work in progress, the darn wallpaper is a pain.  Going to try a fabric softener and water mixture to see it that will help.  I also bought more summer maternity clothes, some dresses and a pair of shorts from old navy., 30% off today only (code: ONSAVE)

QOTW:  I loved my cartoons, specifically Care Bears, Jem and the Holograms and Smurfs.  I'm a true child of the 80s!

Hi ladies. I'm 22 weeks 1 day today, next appointment was moved to Monday May 12th and now we're seeing the NP. I'm not thrilled about that but it's just one appointment so I'm trying to suck it up (otherwise we have to wait another week, and I can't do that!). Still shopping for cribs.....I am so short that it's really difficult to find one I can comfortably reach into with the mattress on the high setting, much less the lower, so we're finally down to a couple options and DH is grumbling about the cost. Honestly he's going to have to suck it up, I have to be able to get the kid in and out safely. Sigh. Otherwise I'm feeling great- my 32nd birthday was Sunday and the whole week so far has been really lovely.

QOTW: I measured time in Scooby-Doos, so that's the first to come to mind, but I also loved Inspector Gadget!

But seriously, off to 3rd tri?! No way? Well yes way after a long 3 shift night weekend that resulted in cankles and bad lumbar back pain. Part of me is hoping doc makes me cu back to 8 hour shifts!! Otherwise nothing new to report. Im hoping the next 13wks are kind to me. LO loves tucking its head or but just under my right ribs in the front, so comfy let me tell you!

Sk8terWoman, that it's going by much too fast. Like, it took sooooo long to make this happen, that the "actually being pregnant" part of the process is feeling much too short. In any case, doing well, starting to gain a bit of weight (and showing even more!) and making good progress on our registry. We even have a plan together for getting some things done in the baby's room in the next couple weeks. Exciting! 

Also really feeling grateful for everything in my life right now, especially after reading about a couple of the M/C on our board over the past week. I have such a heavy heart for those ladies.

QOTW: I loved Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock. And then I became obsessed with Silver Spoons, and had a huge crush on Ricky Schroder.

I am doing good here anxious for my ultrasound on Thursday afternoon. I can't wait to see LO again. I was reading on my apps and online that between week 20 and 21 baby goes from 6.5 in to 10.5 in. So kind of in shock from reading that. Otherwise nothing big or exciting to share here other than that at work my coworkers are like oh you finally have a baby bump. I was like uh yeah its been there for a few weeks. LOL.

QOTW: I loved the disney stuff, but also loved looney tones, tmnt, and carebears.

I hope you ladies have a wonderful week!

16 weeks on Thursday. The OB appointment went well. The doc couldn't hear the HB on Doppler thing (1st time he tried, said cause i'm over weight) so I got to see baby on ultrasound. HB is fine baby is doing well. I also only gained 2lbs since week 8. However Friday night Incan down with an upper respitory infection. Went to urgent care early Saturday. Been home in be ever since. Finally got my voice back last night. I go back to work tomorrow.

Since last week I've only had one episode of the bad vision but it hasn't gone any further luckily. I'm on iron twice a day as well as my prenatal. Hopefully this will get worked out.

Babies are doing great, I think. DH plays music for them every night and there's always a response! He also "plays" with them by talking and poking so they kick back. It melts my heart. It makes him so excited and he talks about it non stop.

My glucose test has been pushed to this Friday because of the crazy scariness that happened last week. FX it goes well.

Thanks for such great support during my 2nd tri! Can't wait to see you all in the 3rd tri check in!

The fetal echo on Friday showed baby girl most likely has a hole in her heart. She's always super wiggly so we'll go back in July to recheck and hopefully she'll cooperate better. There is a possibility the hole will close on its own or she could need surgery at around 4 months old. Everyone (pediatric cardiologist, MFM and OB) have assured me that the surgery is an easy one, but of course I'm still praying the hole will close on its own. The 24 hour urine collection from last week did show less protein...yay for less foamy pee. lol

Yesterday I had a growth scan with my MFM and baby boy is 1lb 14oz and baby girl is 1lb 7oz. They are both growing well, although she's still pretty small. I did find out a few weeks ago that both of my donor's mothers are under 5'4" so I'm sure she's just a peanut. Today I had my weekly OB appt and another cervical length u/s (failed FFN last week) and it was so good (4.3cm w/o funneling) that they aren't concerned with the failed FFN.

QOTW: I can't remember one specific show, but my sis and I had a video of miscellaneous cartoons that we watched over and over. My favorite one on the video was Mighty Mouse.

Hi everyone! And thanks @allison7 as always for a great personalized check-in. I'm 23 weeks (yesterday) and feeling well. My ultrasound with the MFM is tomorrow so I'm nervous but feeling the babies kick a lot helps quite a bit. It would also be beyond amazing if the placenta previa has moved. I signed DH and I up for a labor and delivery class to be hopeful that the placenta will move - but they won't let me labor if it doesn't move. I know there is already a good chance of having a c/s just because it's twins but it can't hurt to be prepared. The babies coming is starting to feel a lot more real - we have a lot of baby stuff in the house now from hand-me-downs and early shower gifts. I am pretty big but the doc and nutritionist say I need to be gaining weight faster so am trying to keep stuffing my face - which on the whole is very enjoyable.

I think week 21 is when they start measuring babies from crown to heel instead of crown to rump. That would be a crazy growth spurt if not!

I feel like I've been more of a lurker lately than a participant!  22 weeks 1 day today... seems like just yesterday I was excited to hit 20 weeks.   Follow up a/s this week to get the rest of the pictures needed.   

BEST THING EVER: On Sunday we felt outside kicks!  It was honestly the first movement that I was 100% sure was baby.  I started feeling them Sunday morning and now I've been feeling them daily.  It's pretty amazing!  I was starting to get worried since I was past 20 weeks and hadn't really felt anything yet.

18 weeks on Friday!! I can't believe it. We have decided on first names- Augustus and Beau. Totally didn't realize when we picked those names that they would basically be "baby a" and "baby b" forever lol. We still haven't told anyone in real life.. I think we will wait until after the anatomy scan.

We go back a week from today for a regular obgyn check up.

I've been such a bumpie slacker! My anatomy scan went well except one baby wouldn't show hands and face so I had to go back. Everything is fine. For some reason I feel like I'm having two girls but who knows... I hope at least one is a girl. My 92 year old grandma went into the hospital the day of my son's first bday party. She passed away the day before his actual bday so it was a week of lows and highs. I really want to give my baby her name...even tho she was 92 her name is in the top 5 of most popular baby names. No granny names here!

QOTW: jetsons. Hands down. Maybe explains why I'm such a gadget freak today.

23 weeks tomorrow!  Thanks, @Allison7, for the great check-in.    Not much new here.  I have a friend whose younger son is transitioning to his "big-boy bed" this weekend and she offered me her crib + mattress + bumpers for free.  It feels too soon to have it, but you can't beat the price and we should be able to store it in the garage for a few months until it's time.  This particular friend understands my nervousness; her first baby was stillborn.  (Her second was perfectly healthy and normal; third was born very early - like 3 months early - and spent about 100 days in the NICU - but now he seems to be doing just fine and fully caught up.)

Need. More. Sleep.  I sleep terribly at night for two nights at a time; the third night I get a solid 6-7 hours.  I've tried a regular pillow between my knees or under my hips; also borrowed a mini-Snoogle from a friend.  None of it seems to help.  My SIL (2 years younger than I and the mother of 3) recommends the Leachco Back & Belly pillow so I'm trying to see if I can borrow one, haven't decided whether to spend the $65 or not.

QOTW: Loved Fraggle Rock!  And Sesame Street, too.

I am finally getting my own update on here!! DH is on a business trip this week and it is finals week at the college that I work at - since I am an academic advisor part of my job is working with students who need accommodations and this week that means several hours proctoring final exams. It is very easy to do, just a little boring  

Baby girl has been kicking up a storm this week! I love feeling it, but sometimes she will go at it for hours and her kicks have gotten quite intense! I am glad she seems so amused at this. I am at 24w4d today, but my next appointment isn't for two weeks on the 21st. It will also be the glucose test, so I hope I pass that. I will see a different OB this next time (there are about 20 in the practice, this will be the 4th that I have met with) and she will make the determination to if I move to every two weeks or stay with every 4 until 30 weeks. The last one was going to keep me at every 4 until 30 weeks because I have had so few problems, but my Meniere's is in full swing now so I would be more comfortable with every 2 because of my increase falling risk. I feel kind of silly asking for this (because I doubt any of my OBs have likely ever dealt with a pregnant woman who has Meniere's) because it is not like they can do anything about the vertigo. What would you guys do? 

And thank you everyone for the T&Ps for my uncle. They brought him out of sedation briefly last week and he knew his name, but he had no idea that he was in the hospital for a stroke. On Monday they brought him out of sedation again and he is getting more alert, but he still sleeps a lot. Today he begins physical therapy, so he is definitely on a recovery track now! 

QOTW: I like so many of the ones already mentioned, but as a very young child Mr. Rogers was the man - and really he still is around Pittsburgh. I was also into anything that had Kermit in it - which he was still on Sesame Street when I was a kid. When I got a little older, I got to set up the VCR every Friday night to tape the Smurfs on Saturday Morning Cartoons.

@Allison7, I'm so glad to hear your uncle is doing better and thank you as always for running this check in! I'm 25w4d today and have another cervical length check on Friday, which I'm sure will result in sitting in L&D for 6-7 hours being monitored for contractions again. Last week everything was unchanged from the week prior and they still sent me up. This seems to be the new way I spend my Fridays! I've had lots of visitors so bed rest hasn't been too awful but I'm sure it's going to get old really fast. Otherwise I have a regular OB appointment on Tuesday and I need to schedule my glucose test sometime next week too. QOTW: I was a huge Rainbow Brite and She-Ra fan when I was little. I also had all the stuffed animals and action figures too!

I'm going to leave a second update because I got such good news at MFM today: placenta is no longer covering cervix - it is now "low-lying." And the girls are growing well - 1 lb 3 oz and 1 lb 7oz! Cervix is "really long." Heart rates both in the 140s (at last OB visit one was in the 160s and one was 115 making me a little nervous even though OB said not to worry). 

I don't know yet if the placenta being "low-lying" means my restrictions are lifted (activity restriction, no travel, pelvic rest) but I will talk to my OB as soon as possible about that. I can't tell you how excited I'm going to be do stuff like vacuum again - never thought I'd say that!

23 weeks today. I had my OB appt on monday and all went well. Both babies are doing well, got to hear their HB on the doppler, and OB said all my numbers look good. I also asked her about the cord/placenta placement that we had discussed with MFM at our A/S. She made us feel so much better and said that 99% of the time it is not an issue, but its good to continue to monitor it so I'll be having monthly growth scans with MFM starting on the 19th.

we just started painting the nursery, going with light gray and yellow paint. and will accent it with either teal/navy blue and hot pink/fuchsia. its going to be nice to have it all done soon.

18w6d and we are having a gender reveal party on Saturday!! We are sooooo excited to find out what team we are!!! We had our a/s yesterday and munchkin was not very cooperative!! Munchkin refused to budge from a comfy belly down, bottom up position. The tech jostled me so much and so hard I have bruises on my belly today!! But our stubborn munchkin would kick back at her and not roll over!! Brain, spine, arms and legs all looked good but we needed to reschedule (3 more weeks) so the doc could try again and get a view of the heart. Munchkin is bigger than what I've read we should be, but both DH and I were big babies, so it's all good. OB and perinatologist say everything looks good for us both DH and I started The Bradley Method classes and LOVE them! We feel so exhilarated, empowered and excited after each class.....and it's actually strengthening our own bond, which is beautiful. Sorry for the gushies, but the classes have brought our pregnancy to a whole other level and we feel amazing and even more excited stay tuned next week for our team reveal!! QOTW: loved watching Saturday morning Hanna Barbera cartoons (Johnny Quest, Mr Chan and the Chan Clan, Josie and the pussycats, Inch high private eye, Hong Kong phooey, shazzam, etc)!!!!!!

I had to throw out our great news last week in an AW thread - 2 boys! We are very excited! 18 weeks on Friday and no appointments this week. We are booked up trying to visit houses to rent for the next year, and job searching in MI for DH. I'm so torn on what to do. On one hand, being 10 hours away from family sucks a big one, but we have a great support system and phenomenal docs here in Baltimore. I guess we will just wait and see!

We also went crazy and started a registry this past weekend since people have been asking for one. I'm having a hard time looking at everything and buying nothing!

My regular doc I probably would have asked her, but I haven't seen much of her since I started the IF stuff. We have this awesome online system, so when my diuretic needs to be refilled I just send a request through there. She knew I was seeing lots of doctors for the IF stuff and I have dealt with the Meniere's for so long she is comfortable with me telling her what I need. 

I am thinking I am just going to tell the OB at this next appointment about the fall, the increased vertigo, and remind them of the meniere's. My guess is that while they were going to wait until 30 weeks when I had no complications, that I will probably move to two week appointments sooner now.

I'm late to the check-in but have been reading everyone's posts.

We're 15w1d today with twins. We had an ultrasound on Monday and both twins look good. It's so fun to see how much they change from one ultrasound to the next. On Tuesday we had our midwife appointment, which went well.

@Allison7, we have thought about getting a home doppler so that we can hear the heartbeats in between appointments, but we have decided not to do it. Apparently @Manada's placenta is anterior (only one placenta was listed on the u/s report, so we don't know if they've merged or if they both are anterior) so it makes finding and hearing the heartbeats difficult. At our m/w appointment this week, the midwifery student couldn't find the heartbeats and the midwife couldn't find them. They actually called in another midwife to have a go at it. She found them. (Thankfully since we'd had the ultrasound the day before we were pretty confident the hearts were still beating so we weren't too worried when it took so long to find the heartbeats.) Our midwife is a friend of ours and she's offered that we can stop in over lunch any time we want (once or twice a week even) to hear the heart beats, so I think we'll do that as needed instead of buying a doppler.

Our midwife is doing our referral to the twins specialist OB she works with this week. We're excited to get our first appointment with him. We want to make sure things are good with M's cervix length and talk to him about progesterone since M has been reading a lot about progesterone to prevent preterm labor.

I got the go ahead from my doctor to start ortho 35 and domperidone to induce lactation so I can breastfeed as well. So now I'm just waiting for my period to start since I want to lower the chances of bleeding through the BCPs.

Sorry I'm late to the party! I don't really have anything new to report. Things are going okay overall and I can't believe I'm getting close to the finish line. We're having a scheduled C-section on July 29 @ 7:30am! Woo hoo!

In not so fabulous news, I'm missing out on a lot of sleep lately which kind of stinks but I figure it's just prepping me for baby girl's arrival. I ended up staying home from work yesterday because I was in such a sleepless fog to try to catch up. It wasn't that fruitful, but hey, I tried!

QOTW: Thundercats or New Kids on the Block cartoon. I loved ALL things NKOTB but specifically got up early for that one.

Hey everyone! Can I be added to the 2nd Tri group? I am 14 weeks today! I tried updating my signature but it wasn't working.
I am due 11/6/14 with a baby girl! We did CGH testing of a frozen embryo, so we found out the sex before the transfer. But we confirmed it with the Mat 21 test too.  I was feeling cautious throughout the first trimester, so I really haven't been posting on the Bump (just lurking).

QOTW - I used to love the smurfs on Saturday mornings!

I just registered for classes earlier this week...almost $300 worth. I didn't anticipate it being so expensive! My OB suggested I do them ASAP as he worries I'll have to go on strict bed rest due to multiples. I was able to get all 4 classes scheduled between May 19th and June 9th, so not too bad. At 15 weeks I think you should have plenty of dates to choose from!

My next ob appointment is next Wednesday and I get an ultrasound at that appointment I can't wait to see how much our little one has grown since our 11 week ultrasound. That's about all I've had going on. Anyone on here registered for childbirth classes yet? I was thinking of doing that this week do they usually fill up quickly at hospitals? Classes at the hospital I am delivering at do fill up quickly. DH will not be able to make the available times for childbirth classes, so he is getting the option of hiring a doula or doing an online class our hospital offers. It is $110 online, I think. I also took a baby basics class that really detailed the first few days with the baby from the peaditrician's side. They even reviewed the first few months and what is normal and what you need to contact the doctor for. That class was totally free and they gave out the bag sponsored by a formula company. The hospital here does not give them out because it is not recommended by the WHO. I want to breast feed, but I really appreciated having free formula on hand in case I can't. I am also think of signing up for a breast feeding class, just to get ready!

I may have gone a wee bit overboard, but in the last couple of weeks (I'm 23w1d now) I registered us for: Prepared Childbirth, Infant Care (through the hospital) + hosp tour, Intro to Breastfeeding, and Pediatric CPR.  Everything I read (and my doc) said to register for classes in 2nd tri and take them in 3rd tri.

Those are the classes I registered for too. Better to be over-prepared!

I keep forgetting to check in. 25w4d here! Things are going great and uneventful lately! I have my glucose test next Thursday and hoping it all goes smoothly. Our bedding was finally shipped so once we get it we can finally start on the nursery! Less than a month until my shower and 3D u/s! I just cant believe everyday we are here right niw and I get to see and feel my little boys kicks all of the time

Qotw: i loved nickelodeon and shows like Doug and Rugrats were my fave!
