I got out 4x last week for cardio or walks. I had the day off on Thursday so I went for an hour walk. It was slightly humid and my fingers swelled up so bad on that walk - it hurt! I have some swelling here and there but nothing like this! Glad our babies will be OUT before the thick of summer! I can't imagine being this pregnant in August!
Wednesday is my last day at work so I only have 3 more gym days so gotta make them count! I would love to swim again, but I had trouble getting out of the pool last time I went!
Most days I still feel good, but some days it just plain hurts to even walk. The pressure in my pelvis is sometimes really bad and nothing seems to help it when it's bad.
@kinipela7 dang girl you're almost there!!! You're rockin this work out thing still!!!
My runs: I got in 4, total of 9.5 miles. I felt good during them all, so thats a plus. My longest run was 1 time for 3 miles. I also made it to yoga one time. I'm thinking I might have to start taking walk breaks during my runs here pretty soon, but we will see. I'm just glad I have kept on this long. I looked at an old thread and somewhere I had said I just wanted to keep running at least a little into my 3rd tri, so I guess I accomplished my goal!
I'm feeling really great still. Getting more and more tired, and its getting more and more difficult to reach my feet... Otherwise I really can't complain. Oh, except: I'm not sure if this is because its summer, or its an end of pregnancy thing, but I have lost my appetite. I only want fruit. This happens in the summer, but I'm not sure if its baby or summer heat. Gotta keep pushing water, water, and more water!
@sjdihle - in awe of anyone that is still running strong after 30 weeks! I know most of you are still running and its just great! I hear you on the water!
last week was another great week of working out. i went to my bootcamp/crossfit class twice which had a lot of running. it feels really good to know that i can keep up with the class, i just lift lighter weights. i also went to yoga several times and a hike with DH over the weekend.
it was so hot last week in so cal so i experienced a lot of swelling too. the temp is down this week so i am looking forward to being more comfortable. my goal is to continue yoga and going to my classes 2-3 times. keep up the great work ladies
Last week was okay. I only got two runs in but they were both good - 4 and 5 miles respectively, so 9 mi total. My last mile of the 5-miler was in 10:14 so I was pretty happy that I kept that pace and still felt great after. I did both runs with my SIL who I've convinced to join my running group, so that was great!
This week, I hope to get 3-4 running days in. I am leading my running group for 5 miles on Mother's Day which I am SO excited about! I'm so happy I will still be running at 33 weeks and also get to hit up one of my favorite trails with my fellow running mamas (almost everyone in the group is a mom and one other girl is also expecting!) on my very first Mother's Day.
Overall I am still feeling good but I'm definitely starting to feel when I need to take it down a notch. We did a ton of walking in Atlantic City on Saturday and then I cheered my husband on at a race on Sunday and all that time on my feet totally wiped me out.
Great job, ladies! I am so impressed by everyone!!
I am so jealous of those still able to run!! I've been doing neighborhood power walks with the family each evening and I am about to start ditching them b/c they slow me down - haha. I want to bust out into a run so bad but my pelvis will hate me if I do. It hurts so bad just to roll over at night in bed.
Is it weird that I wait for the regulars to post so I can see how you're doing every week? I may or may not be too invested in the bump. I seriously look forward to Monday, and use it to hold me accountable for keeping going!
But seriously, y'all have helped me more than you will ever understand!!
Had a pretty good running week! Got in 30 miles with my longest being 6.5 miles. I also got in 2 days of cross training and a bunch of walks.
I am noticing that my legs are feeling much heavier and my pace is slowing down. Little hills seem like mountains I started wearing a heart rate monitor per my doctor's request. I know the 140 is a bit outdated, but he still wanted me to keep it under that.
I am hoping to continue running until 40 weeks, but I'm not sure how I'm going to feel because the difference between even 30 weeks to 33 has been significant!
Got in one last 5k this past saturday. I knew running wasn't going to be my friend so I just power walked it. Felt great, but because it was such a small local race there weren't a lot of people and I was one of the last to finish...not cool. But I guess I'm just happy to have been out there. I had the fireman and cops cheering me on toward the end, felt kinda nice:)
I am traveling this week for work, so I brought my bathing suit to try and get in the pool a couple of the days. No time so far, but I'm looking forward to tomorrow night!
Awesome job to all of you still running, and to everyone getting in a walk or two. I still have 7 weeks left, but definitely stopped running at this point. Have a great week!!
