Wonder Weeks 8th Leap?

Anyone else in the middle of this leap right now?  DD had a really difficult time with the 7th leap, and now the 8th leap is an absolute nightmare. I never used to put much stock into the leaps, but I have no physical explanation for the little monster that is my child right now.  Misery loves company, so just seeing if there is anyone else out there who can commiserate with me

So glad my DD isn't the only one!  For the past week, it has been an absolute battle to get her to sleep at night and for naps during the day.  And the temper tantrums...good grief!  My DD's behavior has corresponded exactly to the leaps for the last 2 leaps, so yes, hopefully this is just a phase :-S

He's been extremely fussy (like can't leave the room fussy) and I can't put him down! Daycare is all over me about this.

OMG! I have been wondering why DD has been an absolute terror. She is waking up multiple times a night and a total bear to get down for naps and night time. When she's awake she is cranky. I thought she was cranky because she's been suck a craptastic sleeper. Please tell me what this 8th leap is!

I'm sorry but I'm so glad it's not just me! DD doesn't go into the 8th leap for another week or so but she has been soooo fussy. At first I thought it was because she had an ear infection (which I know initially was the reason) but she's past that and just not herself. I don't mean sick but just fussy. Nothing makes her happy. I pick her up, she cries, I out her down, she cried, I give her toys, she cries. Then when I pull her from doing something she wants to do - like go up the stairs, she freaks out. Don't even get me started on changing her diapers recently, WTF is that about?!!?. A friend of mine said there is something else they go through, different from the Wonder Week leaps. I wonder of that's what our babies are going through right now? I will ask her and post on here once she replies

@TrulyBlessed22 - I'll be interested in hearing what your friend has to say!  My DD's extreme crankiness started a few days before she was technically starting the 8th leap, and it lasted right around 3 weeks.  She is now just starting to act more like her usual self, with bouts of fussiness thrown in here and there.  And her sleep is definitely improved (**knock on wood**) over the past couple of days.  I usually attribute irritability to the Wonder Weeks when there is no illness or teething going on--I just need SOME explanation to keep my sanity
