When did you get pregnant? Was conceive date, date of sex?

For us we most likely conceived either the day we last had sex, (April 2) or the day before my first day of last period (March 18th). Both are unlikely scenarios from what I read but I track that info and it appears that's when it occurred for us. Even more so, we most likely conceived with pre-cum which I didn't know you could do!! We are blown away (happily) that we have a little one on the way! 

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them too.

Yes, I either conceived the day before my last period--- or perhaps it was implantation bleeding... or April 2nd, the day we last had sex, which is what conception calculators are showing it to be.... Just not sure.. Have yet to have my 1st apt tho too, so I'm sure that will reveal more.

Well then April 2nd it is. The only days we "did the deed" were March 18th and April 2nd... unless I am further a long than I think, but I doubt that!

When you say you "most likely conceived with pre cum" do you mean that you were using the pull out method? Just trying to make some sense out of this.....

I am just wrapping my head around this myself as for our situation seems unlikely. 

We had sex March 18th. I started my first day of last period March 19th. (Unless what I thought was a period was implantation bleeding)  Each time, yes the pull out method was used. My partner was no where near close to finishing. 

The next time we had sex was April 2nd. 

Based on entering my first day of last period into a calculator, it shows April 2nd as conceived date. I was under the impression that you don't conceive the day you have sex, as it takes time for the sperm to travel and fertilize etc. Pardon my "ignorance". Also I've read conflicting things on if precum contains sperm or not. 

Sorry I even bothered posting in the first place!

You can get pregnant from sex on the day you ovulate.  You can also get pregnant from sex from the few days before you ovulate since sperm can hang around for a few days.  The date you conceived is your ovulation date, which is not necessarily the day you have sex.  Since the egg only survives about 12 hours after ovulation, fertilitzation has to happen pretty close to ovulation.

Also, plugging dates into a calendar does not tell you when you conceived.  It is estimating when you conceived based on averages (usually estimating ovulation to be 14 days before your estimated period).  This is not always accurate.

April 2 sounds more likely.  No one can answer this unless you know when you ovulated.  Yes, it can take the sperm a while to travel.  That's why, ideally (for people who are trying), you have sex before you ovulate so that when the egg is released the sperm are already there.  The egg is only viable for ~ 24 hours. You can assume conception was withing 24 of ovulation (not sex).  

You would, under no circumstances, have implantation bleeding the day after having sex (unless you'd already conceived a week-ish prior to that (meaning no, March 18 was not your conception date).

Do yourself a favor and learn how all of this works.  It's really not that complicated.

Do the math... If you are 6 weeks pregnant(ticker), then you conceived 4 weeks ago.... April 2nd. I learned in high school sex Ed that pre cum will indeed get you pregnant.

FYI, it's "conception date", not "conceive date". You really need to read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". Your complete ignorance of how your body and conception works is more than a little horrifying for someone who's going to be in charge of raising another human being. You should have known that conceiving the day before your period is absolutely impossible.

My last cycle started March 21st, I had an IUI on April 4th that worked.  So...April 2nd for the win!  Congrats on your partner's super sperm!
