Cradle Cap Remedy FYI

LO started to get the first signs of cradle cap and I wanted to nip it in the bud before it got bad. I bathe him everyday, so I put olive oil on his head a few minutes before his bath and then use a baby brush with his shampoo/soap to wash, scrub, and rinse out. 2 baths like that and no more signs of cradle cap.

Anyone else babies have cradle cap and have a different method?

E has it. It drives me crazy. I read the olive oil trick but haven't tried it yet. I'll have to do it next bath

I was told to use head and shoulders once a week. So far we've done 1 treatment and it's soo much better already

I used a little olive oil on DD yesterday.  Normally I let that kind of thing alone, but like DS she had it on her forehead into her eyebrows and anytime it got scratched at it started peeling like crazy.  The olive oil worked great, but made me crave bruschetta every time I held her

I've heard coconut oil works as well, might try that next time!

It's expensive, but DD still had cradle cap when she was a year old. I tried EVERYTHING and the only thing that finally got it was Mustela for cradle cap.

Just used a brush in circular motions with regular baby shampoo.

I swear by Mustela foam shampoo, it worked wonders for us.

With Zack, I washed his hair normally and lightly rubbed it dry in circular motions with a towel. Then I put some breastmilk on it and let it dry on its own. That was four weeks ago and we have not had a single issue with it since.

Colton was getting it so I washed hair as normal no scrubbing, dried hair with a soft towel, and massaged coconut oil into his hair. Only took 1 time and it went away.
