If company was dropping over in an hour, would you spend the time getting your house ready, or yourself and your kids ready?

This comes from a situation I found myself in this morning... Kids were all still in pjs, and house was a wreck. (I chose house).

Yup, exactly this.  Bra, teeth, deodorant.  Clean out kitchen sink.  Hide everything else.

House. I can say DD need her diaper changed and take her upstairs and change her clothes while I'm up there. Can't really clean my house with company over.

I'd spend 45 minutes on the house and 15 minutes on the kids.

I'd quickly pick up the house, though.

I'd pick up my house and pull myself together. Then worry about the kids.

Myself, I am still in my gym clothes from this morning. I would take a shower and change. Then wipe the pudding off the kids' faces and call it good. The house is company ready.

It depends on who the company is. My house can't be fixed in an hour, so I would likely make sure the children looked as adorable as possible to divert attention from it .
