I think so many of my parenting "skills" these days go back to either bribery or threats. I think I said this before, but we breezed through two and three--four has been the tough year for us, especially combined with a baby.

I try to avoid food bribes, because I have issues with food and I think a lot of those stem back to food bribes or comfort foods when I was a kid.

I confess that I don't really know anything about the Common Core learning. I still have a couple years before DS1 goes to kindergarten and I haven't looked into it at all. All I know is what I see on Facebook (e.g., "teaching to exams").

Either way, our kids will likely go to public schools. I'll look into magnet and private schools, but I don't see us going in that direction.

My FFFC is simple as of right now I truly need a new job. I find myself not as happy to be with the kids and on edge. Everyone seems to think its a phase and I'll like it again next year when I have the kids a full year...here is the truth even before I got taken out early I was thinking of quitting. It makes me sad and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I am super under paid and it is not fair I'm doing the job of three people for less pay than what one person in other companies.

@megsswm one of DF's ex-friends crashed his truck. It was his 2nd owi. This year he got his 4th, all pled to 1st offense. He thinks it's funny and actually tells people how DF is an asshole and it's his fault and he shouldn't have had to pay restitution(which was a measly $300 for a 20k truck.) owi offenders piss me off. I'm so sick of the "I didn't kill anyone, so get over it." Attitude or comments.

This clearly struck a chord for me.

I find myself having more respect for the hardcore repeat offenders at times-at least they put their head down get it done and don't pretend what they did was right or okay.
