Most women won't be able to find out the sex of their baby for another month or so.
Right - I understand that, I thought the poll was also for those who had also already decided that they did not want to know the sex. I assumed that most of the team greens were like myself where we won't find out the sex even once it's available.
It's threads like this that help me figure out who to associate with..if someone's direction following/reading comprehension skills are this bad, I don't think we have too much in common.
I really don't care if you guys report me. Some of you need to come off your little ivory tower. Mistakes made in a post, or that "ruin" your precious discussion are not the end of the world. So calm the hell down.

The only one needing to calm down is you, my dear. Being pregnant doesn't cause me to forget to read something which I'm replying to, but I suppose everyone's symptoms are different. You should probably take a few deep breaths..
It's rude. Just don't pass it along to your children.
I fully intend to teach my children how to carry on a proper conversation. I also intend to teach them how to read. And I'll even throw in a lesson on the fact that sometimes people will call you out when you do silly things but that's life. How rude of me.
Well I figured someone had to say something. Thing is, I can apologize, but you and the friend I was originally talking to still don't know you were being rude.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think if you wanted to say something, that's fine. The words you choose to use to say something is and was inappropriate. You will not get anyone's attention in a positive way by referring to them as a twat. Bottom line.
Lol, I'm out. This is exactly what I was talking about. Way to gang up on people. Where did you even come from Carrie?
I'm not even sure how to answer that. I normally don't take part in arguments on the bump but calling other women degrading names because you feel threatened is something I can't deal with. Have a great day.
Can we have a sticky where people simply put pink blue or green. No questions no name calling. One that people just love tit what everyone is having? @lisaren do mods have the ability to to delete comments? Btw @sunnydayzrhere go away! o
Yes, but it's a slippery slope when I delete some comments and not others. Kwim? Also, people will still comment, and at A certain point I'll be just deleting. And that's not really productive. I'll ask though... I can also make a note.
Reading comprehension aside, what does it even mean to be Team Blue or Pink if you don't know the sex? Are you telling the internet you'll be disappointed with one or the other?
MOST of the people who posted a team know what they are having already.

I get what your saying, but if we had a thread where people could only post boy or girl and someone asks a question in it, delete those comments? Idk just an idea. And wouldn't that be the easiest way to update the spreadsheet? Instead of going through 1000 comments of name calling and other bs.
I originally had a post with just teams but then they asked I add a poll, which I did. Personally I think the spreadsheet is redundant, are half those people still here??? Meaning the drive bys. I cannot even find the freakin spreadsheet!!!! Haha
Wow, I don't really understand why that escalated so quickly. One comment about not reading the post/thread (and it was obvious reading the OP hadn't happened) and there is an explosion of nasty name calling. *sigh* Some people need to chill.

OMG I just read this, are you kidding me with the twat comment?? Sunnydaze, if you are still around, the only reason for the multiple clarifications is that some of us are trying to update the spreadsheet with information about the women who post here and if people are posting what sex they HOPE for, then it really makes it confusing for us. It was frustrating that people weren't reading directions which is why there were multiple clarification posts. Most people were VERY polite about it!!
I think the point of the spreadsheet is just to try to keep track of who is due when and then if/when we decide to do labor buddies it helps keep track of that. @mrsmechanic1 started it way back in like February I think. There are definitely a LOT of people on there who are drive-by's and I'm not sure what the best way is to deal with that. @DoubleUp8 had proposed the idea of doing a "roll call" thread to allow regulars to check in and then others could be removed from the spreadsheet or put on a separate sheet for people who are "just visiting."
Someone also suggested holding the spreadsheet for now until were about 6 months along then doing a roll call dd sheet then. Y'all have put so much work into that sheet as of now, thank you!!
We could always wait to do the roll call. I just suggested it to separate out the spreadsheet into people who are participating and people who just lurk/were a drive by. It owuld make it easier to look for people on the list. Right now the 600+ names makes it daunting to search the spreadsheet for a specific person. It was hard enough when we were adding people into it.
I have also noticed some of the goodbyes and "team" announcements come from people who aren't on the spreadsheet, so it would let us add any participants who missed the spreadsheet info submission thread.

Maybe we are pregnant and forget to read the freaking front of the post. Stop being a twat.
holy fucking shit is this is joke?? i can't imagine the definition of team blue/pink/green could be ANY clearer but whatever. no need to turn around and call someone a twat because you made a stupid mistake. it's insane that it needs to be clarified that team blue or pink means you're already confirmed the sex. i really just dont understand the stupidity and the straight up bitchiness.

I'm all for a roll call, maybe even a regular one done at the beginning of each month to catch latecomers and remove drive-bys. I'm a housewife with way too much time on her hands most of the time, so I can help out if people would like.
For those ladies who have already found out what they are having, how did you find out? I just had my first trimester screening and still do not know. I can't wait to find out. Hoping I don't have to hold out another 6 weeks!

A good portion of us have needed blood tests (such as Harmony or Verifi) to check for chromosomal abnormalities due to prior history, or age. They check for things like Downs Syndrome, trisomy 13 and 18 as well as things like monosomy X (Turner Sydrome). Because they check the sex chromosomes for things like Turners syndrome, they are able to tell if your baby is a girl or a boy (essentially, XX or XY, or a varient of that, if there is an abnormality). The tests can usually be run at about 10 weeks, when there is enough of the babies DNA in the mothers blood stream, hence why some of us are finding out about now.
