Sleep Crying?

So DS has started randomly crying in his sleep. He is completely out but about once or twice a night I hear him let out a loud cry for like a minute or two. He never wakes up or even moves, I watch this all on the monitor the second I hear it. Its so loud but since he's not actually awake, I usually just go back to sleep. Anyone else's kid do this or know what might cause this?

My DS has done this a few times off and on for several months.  I asked the Pediatrician about it and he said it is probably night terrors which are pretty normal when they are young, especially in boys.

My DS has been doing this for the last 2 weeks or so. I was wondering the same thing but he never fully wakes up...he has also been waking up before 6am which he never did before, ugh.

My DD (17 months) has been doing this almost every night for 6 months! Her newest pattern is 1-2 hours before she wakes up she does it for like a half hour. Makes for an early morning wake up for mom I'm asking her doc about it when we go for her 18 month check up cause it's been going on so long. Hopefully the same doesn't happen to you.

I usually chalk it up to night terrors or gas when DD sleep cries.  I don't ever go into her room unless she completely wakes up and has been crying for more than 10 minutes (which hasn't happened in months - yay!).  I think she had some sleep cries when she was teething too.

DS does this from time to time. I usually just make sure he's gone back to sleep. I think it's normal.
