31week appt (reg 2 week checkup) this mornin. I did find a lump in my breast this weekend that's a bit scary so hopefully I can have that checked out, too. I hope its nothing!
I have a follow up appointment this afternoon - mainly to see if my new blood pressure medication is doing what it needs to do. Since I only had one afternoon where I felt like I was going to pass out, it seems my body is tolerating both meds okay, but keeping my fingers crossed that everything is okay this afternoon. So far, after my L&D visit of a few weeks ago, I'm still managing to be hopeful that I will make it to my RCS date - which is 6 weeks from today!
Just my general two week check in. I got the go ahead to cut down from testing my sugars 4 times a day to 2 times a day since all my readings looked good. Yay for half as many needle pricks. I am measuring 30-31 weeks so a bit behind but still in the margin of error/acceptable range. I'd rather be perfect on target but at least that calms some of the worries that he was growing way too much before I got the GD diagnosis and changed my diet. When I made my appointment for next time I realized that is the very last appointment that I kept with DS, ack, I can't believe the birth could be so close.
@mullenem On a random side note DS got a chance to meet Sparty this weekend since we went to the capitol easter egg hunt. I was sooo excited to get a picture since he loves sparty right? He says goodnight to his small sparty decal every night and wants to see him every time we put on a sporting event but this was the first in person encounter that wasn't across a stadium. He was terrified. lol. We couldn't even get close since "I don't want Sparty to touch me!!!" He did so well with Santa but I guess costumed figures are too much. I hope I haven't forever traumatized my hopes of him being a spartan. lol.
Doc said its probably nothing and not to worry but gave me a script to have a breast sono on Friday morning to rule out anything..now to 'not worry' until my results are in hah!
I have my weekly MFM and OB appt. today. We get a growth scan, fluid check, NST, and cord flow check. It's crazy to think this is our last appt.!! Eeeek! 2 more days until c section and the majority of our families were hit with a stomach bug that sounds pretty yucky. Ah joy!
I had a NST today. Baby was NOT in the mood and barely moved at all. I was scheduled for a ultrasound anyways and everything looked great on there so they said all was fine. My BP was good again so that was reassuring.
Bumped up my OB checkup to this morning because I've been struggling to breathe all weekend. Turns out I have pregnancy-induced asthma on top of measuring 43 weeks (at 33). Got an inhaler, but basically my lungs are SOL until these babies get here. Going back for an NST this afternoon, but based on everything this morning it looks like the girls are doing just fine.
32 weeks today. Skippy had another arrhythmia check-up this morning by ultrasound. No change in the abnormal beat yet so we continue to monitor how she is doing. I go in for a non stress test weds morning.
Buuuuut the tech gave me a 3d picture of my little girl's face! First time I cried at an appointment. I can't stop looking at her sweet little face. I was not expecting to get that, it was so nice of her to take a few moments to get that image.
All good! HR was lower at 137 (had been in 150s), but still normal. Doc said to try Pepcid and I can take that to the end of the pregnancy.
I also mentioned how uncomfortable I am. She said it is common to feel worse the second time around since your body had been "used and abused". Excellent...53 more days.
jenn72178- I'm glad your first bit of news went well. Here's wishing you the best with your test.
No Dr's appointment, but DH and I do start our child birth classes tonight. This should be interesting. The class is three hours this week and three hours next week. I couldn't sit through the all day class.
Hi ya ladies, I had a unscheduled appointment today.
Was contracting over the weekend. Just when it was getting significant enough to start counting, it would stop. Then since 7:30am today contractions have been every 16-24 minutes lasting on average 1m45s.
I'm considered high risk due to prior pre-e with #1, spontaneous preterm delivery at 34 weeks with #2, and gestational diabetes+spontaneous preterm delivery at 32.5 weeks with #3.
I've been on Makena shots since 16 weeks and apparently they are doing their job. My cervix is still high and closed so all these contractions are just my uterus bluffing. My blood pressure was a high today, but not high enough for pre-e and no protein. Minor swelling in hands and feet, but the temps have also spiked considerably.
Doc sent me home with a script for procardia (3x day) for the next week, and re-eval next Monday.

32 week check up for me. Should be all of 5 min. I'm going to ask about going back on Prilosec. This heartburn is murder.
I hear you on the heart burn! I've been on prescription protonix since 26 weeks. The past 2 weeks it seems to work less and less. Waking up in the middle of the night to puke stomach acid is NOT fun. My doc suggested taking Gaviscon to between doses of protonix...DO NOT try the chewables. Its like chewing an alkaseltzer and it fizzes. I'm pretty sure its what triggered the puking episode last night.

If you are on Procardia, how does it make you feel? I know the stuff they gave me in L&D made me feel like I just ran a marathon. My BP isn't high so I am curious how it will make me feel.
I just started it last night. I didn't notice any difference. The doctor did say it can make you feel flushed for a few minutes after taking it, but I didnt notice that at all.
I was a bit worried to take it because my BP is not high either. It was elevated yesterday, but it could have been situational (they took my BP right after I walked into the Doc office from the hot parking garage). Yesterday it was 132/80 but I'm usually more like 112/60 with a very low pulse rate - around 65. So I'm watching to see if I slow down even farther since Procardia is supposed to lower blood pressure...
Good luck!
