TMI?
I think I'm about 5 weeks along and I started bleeding on Thursday. Not spotting bleeding :-/ it was bright red and the flow of a period. My Ob ordered an hcg test on Friday and again on Monday. Also on Monday the bleeding stopped but I passed some tissue, not a lot but enough to confirm that I had miscarried. My Ob called yesterday and said my levels had more than doubled from Friday to Monday and they can only assume I'm still pregnant. I had another blood test done today(don't have the results yet) and scheduled for scan on Monday.
Has any one been through this and still had a normal pregnancy. I mean I know woman bleed but I always thought passing tissue meant a miscarriage for sure.
My poor DH already has his hopes up that we're still pregnant but I'm so nervous.

I had a subchorionic hematoma with my DD's pregnancy. I bled a TON (clots, and it was literally like someone had turned on a faucet) at about 7w pregnant. I rushed in for an u/s and there were two healthy heartbeats on the u/s (I was pregnant with twins at the time, we lost one later). Like others have said, your baby is so tiny that "tissue" wouldn't be the baby at this point. It would be lining.
So yes, there is a chance that the bleeding is not miscarriage related. Do you know what your numbers are at this point?
