Weird loveys

DS hates stuffed animals. There are a few he'll kiss and hug, but it's mostly to get a reaction from us. He's never been interested in blankets or anything either.

However, lately he HAS to have a handful of plastic toddler spoons when he goes to sleep. As soon as we announce it's time for bed, he scurries off to find at least three of them. He then counts them for several minutes before he falls asleep, and continues counting them the moment he wakes up.

Anyone else have a kid who has a weird lovey?

We read her two books before each nap, or we read the same book twice. She insists on going to bed with the last book that was read to her, and she "cuddles" up with it, usually placing it under her chest, but holding tight to it with one hand. However, at night, it's just her baby doll.

Cooper has quite an attachment to his snow shovel (and shovels in general) but thankfully hasn't asked to take it to bed.

Oh man, books here too. There are like seven board books in his crib at all times, and now with the spoons I have no idea how he sleeps in there.
