Just seeing this now too and I have to say it worries me that they are waiting till Monday to give you results. When I was 18 I started birth control and as a result about a year later developed a blood clot in my brain because on increased estrogen (like when you are pregnant). The symptoms were very similar to the ones you described and I was in and out of the ER for about 4 days with 'migraines'. Luckily my mom is an oncologist and she took me to her office for xrays and bam! right there, blood clot. I was in surgery 7 hrs later. If I had waited another day the outcome could have been fatal. I dont want to worry you any more than you already are, but waiting till Monday does not seem like a good idea in my opinion. Can you go back tomorrow or go in for X-rays?? I wouldn't recommend the ER, thats who sent me home multiple times. Maybe ask your OB or call a Hematologist? T&Ps!!!
Just saw the update and I want to second everything @izzetoot mentioned. Hopefully it's a migraine. But strokes are serious and not to be messed with, so better safe than sorry. Monday does seem too long. Take care!
Just seeing this post, and I was to reinforce what has already been said. If this is to ever happen again, go straight to the ER, via ambulance. Glad it was "just" a migraine, but those are very much symptoms of stroke.
Not only does pregnancy out you at higher risk (both due to being hyper-coagulable, but also stroke is one of the terrible end points in eclampsia), but migraines also put you at higher risk of stroke. You won't know if your symptoms are migraine or stroke until you are assessed and they are gone.
There is a clot busting drug that can be given in the first 4.5h of symptom onset (after that the risks>>benefits), but I'm not sure the would give it while you are pregnant. The drug monograph says "caution" so it would be a discussion between you and your doc, but you need to get to the hospital quickly to even qualify.
