I know, I know, but I'm being serious.
I just found out that daycare has been using Desitin whenever they use cream. LO has never really had a diaper rash, so I don't know how often it's been used. But she smelled like it when she came home yesterday, and so I talked to daycare today. They were unaware that Desitin is not CD safe and haven't been using the CJ's I've provided because they can't use any diaper creams, or anything, without a medication form filled out (which I did today). I've talked to two of the ladies previously about using the CJ's, but I think there was a breakdown in communication (and there is a language barrier with some of the caregivers).
We've also had a few weeks of increased leaking, so now I'm thinking repelling vs user error.
Soooo, what do I actually do to strip out the Desitin? I'll do a hot water strip this weekend regardless.
edit: we use Best Bottom stay dry and cotton/hemp inserts.
Re: Okay, should I use Dawn??
Also I'd tear DC an new one for putting any sort of cream on LO that you didn't supply. That should be illegal if it isn't. I'm confused how they can use Desitin w/out a consent form but make you sign one for CJ s.
Maybe try blue dawn and scrubbing in your tub? Then a few hot water rinses in the washer?
