Red eyes? WWYD?

Yesterday morning DS woke up and his outer sclera on both eyes look irritated and he had some crusting around his eyes. His left eye is redder than his right though.The night before yesterday morning I had noticed that he was rubbing his eyes a lot but I just thought it was because he was tired (it's his usual time to go to bed cue). His eyes don't seem to be bothering him anymore though. I tried looking in his eyes but I didn't see anything in them. Granted DS was having a fit while I was trying to get a look at them. Is this something I should call the doctor about immediately and schedule an appointment or could this be seasonal allergies? I'm planning on calling his pediatrician tomorrow if it doesn't improve. TIA!

Sounds like pink eye to me too. I would call.

That's what I was afraid of. I'll give his pediatrician a call right now instead of tomorrow.   :-S Thanks for the responses everyone!

@jobiann  I called his pedi and they were able to fit us in right before their office closed yesterday. It turns out that it was a very mild case of bacterial pink eye. She (the pedi) said that she was glad that we caught it early. We were prescribed eye drops and this morning his eyes are looking waay better. Thank goodness! I searched up pink eye pictures and omgoodness the images were horrifying. I'm so thankful his didn't turn out as bad as the pictures I saw. Thank you everyone for the responses!

So glad you caught it early! I've heard pink eye is terrible.
