Happy Tuesday!

Re: Happy Tuesday!

  • Gotcha. I've snagged some good finds at TJMaxx and Home Goods (same parent company, I think), but I don't care for Marshall's very much.

Ooh, I cleaned up at home goods this weekend... the cutest chair for the baby's room, and lots of kitchen decor.

  • We have TKMaxx in the UK, too! Wonder why the different names? The concept and logo seem otherwise the same.

Man, that sucks SAK. There's 10 of them within 5 miles of my house. We have them in the grocery stores.
i know this will sound odd, but i actually like living in Mayberry.  we went to visit my SIL last weekend and I stopped at target (nearest Target = 83.7 miles) and my kids were amazed by the red balls out front.  they asked to have their pic taken with them.  and three weeks ago we were visiting my sis and we stopped at a mall with escalators and they thought they were the most incredible things in the world.  lol.  not having a starbucks on every corner is actually somewhat refreshing to my mind.

I grew up in a very small town.  Sometimes, if we were REALLY GOOD, my friend's mom would take us to the bank and let us ride the only escalator in town.  Up one flight, then back down.  It was like a roller coaster ride to us hicks.

What the heck happened to the high five smilies??

Anyway, pretend high five for small town living!! I grew up about half an hour from the nearest town. When they got a Super Walmart, all the old ladies at church talked about how huge it was and how worried they were about getting lost in it.

DH and I have started looking at land out in the country again. We found a beautiful stretch of acreage near where he grew up, but they don't have high speed internet out there yet so it got crossed off the list since he has to have it for work.
