It's so quiet in there that people are still posting in the FFFC!  What's going on?

I can't stop thinking about summer.  I am so excited for nice weather!  I want to sew myself some summer clothes and decorate our screened porch.  And I think I'm going to sew a little indoor/outdoor play tent for DS's birthday in May.  What are you guys thinking about today?

Thinking about why I had to come home in the middle of running errands because ds's diaper leaked.....user error - forgot to change him before we left so 3 hours in a pocket stuffed with a single flat = soaked baby and mommy since mommy was wearing him when he started leaking....and then he peed again while I had the diaper off just to make sure I was changing my clothes.

I'm thinking about how awful I feel (allergies I think?) and how I have entirely too much work to do in the next 4 weeks before baby gets here, and just got handed 2 additional projects.  Plus I'm way overwhelmed at home, and MH is spending too much time away. 
Nothing good in my head.

We are going for walk as soon as M wakes from his nap. Now that it's warmish I want him getting ALL the fresh air. My allergies won't peak until next month anyway.

I got my car semi cleaned. All I can say is children are disgusting creatures. :-&

I'm super depressed over here. There was this big missing person thing going on over the weekend, and they ended up finding a body in the woods near J's work yesterday. He said there were helicopters flying super low overhead all morning before the news broke.

I'm in pregnancy limbo over here. I would post in the pact grads but @TJ1979‌ hasn't started it yet over the weekend I had sex and started bleeding bright red. My MW told me to go to the ER just to be safe. They did an internal exam and everything is closed up. My beta level was 10, 303. They told me to follow up with my ob on Monday. Went yesterday and they did an u/s. I'm measuring 5w2d but there's nothing in the sac right now. I'm supposed to call today for my second beta results so we'll see.

It has made me work more at getting my son to take a pacifier.  He finally did this morning, then literally fell asleep two minutes later, smiling. Are pacifiers magic?

They are magic! I gave ds one out of the blue (he hasn't had one in months and is a thumb sucker) and he went down fast for his nap! Woohoo.

I've been depressed. I feel completely overwhelmed and am not getting things done that were easy to get done before. DS cranky clingy self is wearing on me too.

ETA: I guess depression wasn't appropriate for "happy Tuesday" thread.

I was CRANKY most of last week, but I seem to have chilled out a bit the last couple of days. I'm a bit bummed that our weather seems to have remembered that it's spring in Germany, so we may not see the sun again for the rest of the year

Otherwise I've almost finished my nephew's baby blanket which means I can cross that off my list and get back to making my mama cloth for pp.

Today is my shopping day. Lots of groceries are to be bought. I also need to get the kids black out curtains. So, nothing super exciting going on over in this side of the world.

I'm bummed too! I had a mole biopsied last Friday and, since I work at the hospital, I can check my own medical chart. The lab results came back as a melanoma  :-<

The doctor hasn't called me yet, so I'm just waiting to hear the news in person. I'm sure it's not terrible, but melanoma is the most dangerous of skin cancers. And MH co-worker passed away yesterday from acute liver failure at the age of 40 when she was previously healthy. Just makes you think of your own mortality... I think ((hugs)) are needed all around today!

I'm still without a dryer. I have 2 more days to go. I may have to break out the disposables on the last day. If I were home I could dry everything outside and not have a problem.

Tonight's excitement will be filing paper work and getting my tax information together. And if I'm really lucky cleaning the bathrooms.

Hugs!! Hopefully there's a good reason he's delayed telling you. Maybe there's something more than what you read in yourself about the results. I'm praying for you that it all there's some decent news in it all.

UPDATE: I just talked to Dermatology. It was caught pretty early, so it appears to be a low grade melanoma. I'm referred to the Melanoma Clinic, and it's world-renowned at my hospital, so that's a great thing. I'm sure everything will be just fine. Thanks to everyone for all the well-wishes!  :x

It's supposed to be 67 degrees on Thursday. I need to get my raised green beds ready to go. We've been spring cleaning like mad...and preparing for M's first birthday party. It's exciting, but I'm feeling very overwhelmed by this baby turning one. He was just a newborn!

I really dislike Starbucks. It tastes like burnt pennies. There are way better coffee shops in my town. As in everything and anything other than Starbucks.

If your going to Starbucks for drip coffee your going to the wrong place. Their regular coffee sucks. You go for the frilly drinks with chocolate and crap in it. Covers up the shitty beans they use. Most other places I know have the worlds worst beans compared to Starbucks. I would like a mocha to taste like a mocha without needing it to be 1/2 chocolate syrup.

I live in the greater Seattle area though SAK. BFE has a Starbucks and a Starbucks in their Safeway as well. So my perspective is a little weird.

i know this will sound odd, but i actually like living in Mayberry.  we went to visit my SIL last weekend and I stopped at target (nearest Target = 83.7 miles) and my kids were amazed by the red balls out front.  they asked to have their pic taken with them.  and three weeks ago we were visiting my sis and we stopped at a mall with escalators and they thought they were the most incredible things in the world.  lol.  not having a starbucks on every corner is actually somewhat refreshing to my mind.  

I grew up in a very small town.  Sometimes, if we were REALLY GOOD, my friend's mom would take us to the bank and let us ride the only escalator in town.  Up one flight, then back down.  It was like a roller coaster ride to us hicks.
