For those still bleeding

Please tell me I'm not the only one that feels like they smell all the time?  For the most part I am able to shower everyday, in fact I just showered an hour ago and I feel disgusting and smelly already.  The bleeding has slowed to like a light period, but man, the odor is so much worse than a period (and I hate pads).  I also feel like I just have terrible BO....between all of that and getting spit up and breastmilk spilled on me, I just feel nasty all the time.

I'm not bleeding anymore, but I felt this way when I was! I could have showered 4 times a day and still not feel clean.

Definitely hate the "period smell" but my baby was happy enough to let me take a shower today! Hallelujah!

Yep. It's gross. After my shower today LO managed to spit up on me so that it drained down the front of my shirt, in my bra, and between my breasts. I then changed clothes and wiped myself down but still smelled spit up all day. Ick

Ya, I very much dislike the smell! I also hate wearing pads! I am going on 4 weeks and I hope it ends soon. With my son I had bleeding until 8 weeks pp and the smell was so annoying!! If it lasts 8 weeks again I am gonna cry!

Ugh I'll be six weeks pp tomorrow and I'm still bleeding. Although I have a feeling it's now an actual period. But yea, I'm with ya. The smell is awful and I'm lucky to get a shower every other day.

Glad to know I'm not the only one feeling this way! I tore and required stitches and wasn't sure if something was infected or if that was a "normal" smell. And ditto to being tired of wearing pads!

It's been 4 weeks and I'm down to just wearing a panty liner but still bleeding some. This is totally gross, but I say it smells like a dead rat! Super nasty. I shower ever morning and by the evening...yuck.

I felt like that until I stopped bleeding and the night sweats went away.

I kept saying to DH "God, what stinks?" And then I realized it was me.

I had completely stopped bleeding but then I had the Mirena put in and now I'm back to having breakthrough bleeding. I'm ready to not have fluid exiting my vagina.

I feel disgusting and am so paranoid about smell. I never use pads and this is torture!!

Me too I'm still early on (DS is 8 days old) but it's gross. I've taken 3 showers in the past 24 hrs. Yesterday was my bday so I got to sneak in the extra shower.

Agreed, it's terrible. I'm 5 weeks pp and my bleeding keeps coming back in full force. And I have to put my pads in a separate bag after use and take them straight to the outside trash can. It's such a pain but I don't want those things lingering in my house.

I'm a Leakey sweaty smelly mess. I want to shower all the time. LO would let me but dd1 &dd2 have been crazy lately. I don't completely trust them to leave baby alone or not fight while I bathe. I used to have a travel swing I'd bring into the bathroom with me. I sold it after #2 but I'm going to look for a new one. I need to shower to feel human even if I don't leave the house.

I'm not bleeding anymore but smelled disgusting 24/7 when I was. At first I thought the smell was dirty diapers, but when I continued to smell it after DH took out the trash I realized it was me. :-S

I have it too.. how long does it last? I am 3w4d pp. I am hoping it will be totally gone by my 6 week check up because we are both counting down the days until we can resume sexual activity.

Since I started bleeding less I feel like the smell got worse... Is that weird ??? Does not smell like your average period either... This is different (way worse) so sorry for the TMI. Now I'm all freaked out about infection so calling the doc tomorrow and gonna go get checked ASAP...

@Mskris66‌ Did you call the doctor and figure out if anything was wrong? I'm having the exact same thing you described and am calling my doc tomorrow morning because I'm a little worried.

@teaforthree‌ yes! Totally normal and totally gone now... Unless I was in pain, they said not to worry too much, my 6 week appt is on the 28th so I held off, but the smell is gone - bleeding is totally gone as well
