We were prepared to lose our son, but of course we hoped for a 1% chance of a miracle. Yesterday was a hello and goodbye to a precious 4 lb baby boy named Joshua. Last week I had posted about others' experiences with stillborns and the advice helped me tremendously. We got wonderful photos from the hospital and NILMDTS, handprints and footprints, read to him and sang to him, saw every part of him and dressed him, kissed him, held him, and loved him for the four hours that we got (he had a short window of time that he had to go to pathology). This was my first time giving birth and what an experience it is. Baby was breach and we had a vaginal delivery without pain medication. Afterward we got to spend 4 hours with our son and our close family got to meet him too.
I have a lot of gratitude to share with this board and how it prepared me for the hardest time in our lives. Our babies are all playing together in heaven with God who is taking great care of them. We can never forget that.

I'm so sorry that you have a reason to be here on this board. I'm glad that you were able to prepare and make the most of the time that you had with your son Joshua.
I am also so sorry for the loss of you son Joshua. It's such a difficult thing to deal with. I'm really glad that the advice was helpful for you though, and I know that you will have memories from that day that you cherish forever.
I'm so sorry for your loss but happy that this board was a good sense of support as you prepared for yesterday - I'm glad you got some precious time with Joshua and created some keepsakes in his memory *hugs*
I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm glad the board was able to help you and that you were able to get some physical mementos as well as have the time to make memories with your sweet Joshua.
I am so, so sorry for your loss of Joshua. I love his name.
I am thankful that you were able to spend your time with Joshua in a meaningful way. I will continue to pray for and think of you and your family during this very difficult time.
