Stay at Home Moms

I can't afford to feed them!

Alex & Taylor both ate a personal pan pizza and 2-4 cinnamon stick breadsticks for dessert.  We got home about an hour and a half ago.

They said then that they were so full their bellies hurt.

Now: "I'm hungry.  Can I have a snack?"

I ate less than them and I am still full!!

  • It's shocking how much kids can eat.  DS can out eat me and does so fairly often.  But then I see how he never holds still and obviously he's doing a lot of growing so it makes sense.  His metabolism must be crazy fast!  I'm scared to see how much food he's going to need as he gets older...

I find this happens with DD...lately if she's bored, she thinks a snack will entertain her.

I also like to think that snacks will entertain me so the kid might have a point :

I think this is true.  Neither finished their apple before they started coloring.

  • lol...my boys are the same way.  This morning, between the two of them, they ate six eggs, two pieces of toast, and two apples.

A lasagna or a whole chicken only last one meal now :)

They still only weigh about 65lbs put together.  I have no idea where they put it.

I think it is a boy thing...  My brother used to drive everyone nuts doing the same thing, and he did it until he moved out and bought his own food.

    I have 3 GIRLS!

  • Yep bored. I offer fruit and if they are really hungry that is what they will eat, or I just say no.
  • Dehydration can often mask itself as hunger. Happens to me sometimes. Make sure you offer a glass of water before letting them have a snack. If they find they really aren't hungry after that, set it aside for later!

Well, my theory is out.  Also you can tell I don't pay that close of attention to other poster's kids' sexes.  LOL

No worries.  Most people would think Alex, Taylor and Dylan are girls before they would just assume they are all girls.

For the record, there are other girls named Alex, Taylor and Dylan at DD's school.
