    The "new" regs on this board are not at all the same as the DOBs. If you recall the days just before we all had our babies, when newbs were popping up daily (some asked "dumb" questions, some didn't), some of the DOBs (Beachy, Blueyed, Nola) were unnecessarily snarky. Even after our babies were born and after the DOBs were gone, I distinctly remember you Beachy, coming back on that crazy post from Cindy's Mommy encouraging us all to lose the weight and reconnect with our husband's, with a gif that said "Fuck you, mom." The girl was nuts, but that gif was unnecessary.

    None of the current regs on this board are unnecessarily snarky. Yes, Shank is probably the first to throw some snark but it's usually warranted and very rarely over the top - and if if is, she reflects on it when called out and apologizes when she thinks she is in the wrong. Something I have never seen any of the "mean" DOBs do.

    Some may think the treatment of rpalen and Taryn was unfair. In the case of rpalen, no one "chased" her down on other boards. A May mom saw she was posting on the June board (and lying about her baby's birthday), the May mom commented here, and a June mom saw it and asked rpalen to explain herself. It was a shit show, but she certainly didn't help herself - multiple SNs, being caught in multiple lies on the two boards, trying to trick us into buying her crap... Which is a big deal on an Internet forum where we could all be hairy men living in their mom's basement.

    In Taryn's case, she posted that her husband swatted their 5 month old to get him to stop crying. Instead of being horrified by it, her reaction was, "Meh, whatever works." So SpankGate went down, with the Parenting board actually schooling us "softies" on how to give a good flaming. Taryn disappeared for several months, only coming back to AW a new pg, on the heels of a reg's recent loss. So a lot of people have a bad taste in their mouths regarding her (she has never actually apologized, admitted wrongdoing, or thanked any of the posters who defended her to the Parenting board during SpankGate, BTW).

    We all know that as in real life, people don't all get treated equally on an Internet forum. Those who have put themselves out of favor with the rest of the board don't get treated the same as a well-liked poster does.

    Sorry to write a novel, but those are my two cents.



    Oh, you mean the time the link was posted in the Fb group specifically so we would come ream that chick out? That's cool, I can be the bitch scapegoat there because I was the one who posted it. It's just funny to me that since I've pretty much left the board I've been back a few times when given links to crazy, and was welcomed back by several people. But because this time we came back to defend a reg here when being attacked by your queen b we are dusty bitches that you're essentially trying to chase off your board.

    If you truly don't think shank's response and attack out of nowhere on bhjones in taryns thread wasn't out of line and uncalled for, then no, you are no better than us dusty old bitches that were just so snarky. Sure that pic was posted as a joke to shank, but that wasn't until well after she crossed a huge line first.

    I agree with you, @beaubecca‌. I liked most of the old regs, including @nola78, and still do. I shouldn't have singled Nola out in my post this morning. Maybe her name came to mind only because at the time I was surprised by the late snark she was giving because before that she's been so nice. So, I'm sorry, Nola. I'd love it if a lot of the old regs came back to the board. I agree with beaubecca said about it being annoying to feel like people only come back to spy and get involved in drama.

    Anyway, I wasn't a part of the FB group so I have no idea what links were posted there.

    And if anyone is still reading this, and cares, I first thought shank's reaction to the unicorn pic and lashing out at bhjones was extreme, but then thought she had reason for it. Also thought bhjones didn't help herself out by first feigning ignorance then stirring the pot.
